A product of excellent quality. It's been 55 years since I got into radio. It is ideal for SW receptions with the CC Skywave. There are no problems with FM. It is possible for me to pick up AM at the factory where I work. It is a good thing that an airport is nearby. It works very well for me, and I am very happy with it.

It is not recommended to connect any power supply to the radio via USB cable, because that introduces noise. This is even true for There is very little noise caused by crane power supplies unless the station is very powerful. In the event of a power outage, I recommend using batteries only while having a spare pair charged and ready to replace the other. Compared to a pair of iPhone headphones I tried with it, the included headphones sound better to me. My preferred method of listening to the radio is to use the built-in speaker and play the radio loudly.

My reason for buying this radio was to listen to marine SSB nets, so I chose CCrane over Tecsun because I thought it was a better product. I followed all the instructions and tried everything I could think of, but was unable to capture even one broadcast. A problem has occurred with the application. As is the case with any $5 radio, it can only receive FM broadcasts. Tecsun allows people to listen to the net with other people in the area. We are deeply disappointed. The product is currently on a boat with no shore access, so I would love to return it if I could. When I get my money back, I will do my best to get it back. One more time. It's a disappointment to spend $170 on this. If you want a marine ssb, stay away from it.

In order to pass the time during my recovery, I wanted to play with a shortwave radio. The radio I purchased was more expensive than the one I previously owned. I could not receive anything if the external antenna was removed. Excellent reception can be found with this CCrane. The package appeared to be small, and I was worried when I opened it, but after using it for a few minutes, I am very pleased with it. The design is smart. It is an amazing radio and I cannot express how much I appreciate it.

This radio allows me to listen to weather alerts as well as have a backup medium for information in the case of a national or global disaster. We have been without power in Texas for the last week and a half It has been five days since I last had water, but I still don't have any It is no coincidence that it was during this time that we attempted to use this radio. I kept the radio on for a full minute & a half It will then die out after half a year. In order to make sure the batteries weren't the problem, we opened several new packages of batteries. That did not make a Recently we received power and are now able to use our appliances There is a back up of water. When we plugged the radio in (with the usb power adapter that had to be purchased separately), it did not make any While the radio is still playing, it continues running for minute after minute Death begins with a half-life and then completes. This was such a disappointment A time of crisis was when it was most needed, and it proved ineffective. It is advisable to take precautions when buying. Hopefully, Amazon will not print this negative review, but I'll let Crane know directly about it as well. Also, it makes me wonder how accurate the positive reviews are.

The SSB is also included! With features that reduce noise on the way, the sensitivity is very good. As well as buying the radio on Amazon, you can also order a hard case. You can leave it on while not using it, and it will be protected. Since over 45 years ago (at least), I've been messing with shortwave radios, and this one is fantastic. As an added bonus, the unit has a weather band and an aircraft band. Despite its small size, it is easy to take along wherever you go!.

There's something I like about All the bands that I perform in seem to have a good response to me. This is a particularly good reception on the weather band and the am band. The radio on this page is recommended.
