I was delighted to have it revive my old Zune 80GB that had been sitting in a box for years, but the install was a little troublesome. For this project, you'll need a soldering iron (preferably a decent one) and some case opening tools (might be able to make do with a thick guitar pick in a pinch). The aluminum tape should be carefully peeled so that it can be reused (a hair dryer can help loosen the glue) and notice how the cable is originally connected (take a photo(s) if necessary). I wish everyone the best of luck in their attempt to repair the phone. Just remember to be patient and walk away if you get frustrated (yes, it is that hard to open the phone).

My soldering skills aren't terribly skilled, but I was able to remove the old, dead battery from an 80GB Zune and change it with this one in just a few It is simply a matter of unsoldering the old battery at four point There is one wire for each color of the rainbow All of the items should be tucked away. From that point on, the device has operated perfectly.
