Mine is for a 4th generation iPod, and it lasts for more than four hours, which is when it's one fourth discharged, and it requires three hours to charge from that point.
Yes, it is.
All Apple devices have different batteries, so you should find one that specifically refers to your model. My picture iPod was very snug and I had a hard time finding one that
I was satisfied with its performance, for what it was worth, and it helped me to repair my iPod 4th Gen.

There's no way to play it. There is just a message that says "low battery". With this, I was able to revive my old iPod. Unfortunately, it was only effective for a short time period. The battery and charger seemed to be running low after the initial 3 months. Then I decided what the heck, I'll just charge it more frequently. The iPod was only used on weekends and so I only had a handful of times to play it before. This evening. There was no longer any audio in the iPod. Connected to the power supply. I won't charge for that. I tried to turn it in but couldn't. Although it is plugged in, it has an error message saying that no power can be found. A bad battery is probably to blame for my problem. Had I not, I would not have done that. Although I feel as though I have thrown away $8 every 4 months, it almost seems worth it to pay $8 every 4 months. You only need to replace the battery every 5 months. However, I am so disappointed. Would it be worth it to pay $8 more for this battery if it would prolong my baby's life by a few months? It's too late for me to say anything. A very disheartened feeling. Buy at your own risk and don't expect too much. Today is a very sad day. It is my hope that somehow I just got a dud and the seller will see it.
When it came to bringing back a dead iPod, this battery worked like a charm. Battery replacement kit includes all the parts necessary for a successful replacement and increased capacity over the original battery. On my iPod 4g, I can playback for many hours on a single charge and use it for days on standby with little power loss. I found the following to be true The iPod repair business has recently caught my attention. The iPod 4G that did not work was an old 40gb iPod 4g purchased for $10. It was the owner's suspicion that the iPod would restart when jostled, because the hard drive ribbon appeared to have a problem. Nevertheless, it had not been plugged in for many As a bit of music history is in danger of being erased, I decided to take the risk of rejuvenating it. I then plugged it into my computer when I got home. However, it kept restarting after turning on, as the owner had described. The computer restarted after I placed it flat on a table and that was completely motionless, but it kept restarting after that. In a little over ten minutes, it finally turned itself back on I had to charge my iPod battery to a point where it could sustain the device for an extended period of time. My battery was purchased off iFixit and I followed the battery replacement guide there (click The old battery was in such poor shape when I got it out of the case that it was immediately apparent. As if it were swollen like a balloon, the old battery was. Once I put the new battery in, I closed it up, and the iPod is working perfectly.
Recommendations Battery failure is probably the most common cause of iPod failure for older units. A new battery may be what you need for your iPod if you are experiencing unexplained problems. It is impossible for any battery to last for more than 10 years of continuous use, and the iPod 4g has reached that point. It is possible for you to do this project if you're wondering whether it is possible for you. This isn't like changing the batteries in your TV remote, but it's also nothing out of the ordinary. The batteries appear to be of decent quality, and they are a great deal at the price, especially with the Having only one thing on the back of it that makes me second guess the quality is the "iPo" error on the label. Overall, I'm happy with it.
It doesn't work! I wouldn't recommend buying a battery for an iPod 4th generation on Amazon they don't It would be impossible for me to give Zero Stars. As a rule of thumb, I believe the problem lies with the iPod rather than According to my understanding, Apple changed something about its product to prevent it from accepting You can't have it both ways with Apple!.
While I carefully followed all of the steps for replacing the battery, the iPod I had just plugged into my Macbook and was recognized by just this morning has now become inactive. It does not power on and cannot be detected by my Macbook when it is plugged into the Macbook.
The battery is no longer chargeable past 3 weeks after it is first installed. It is v. After all, it was only a matter of replacing the original 16 year old battery with the new one. Even though it doesn't last as long as it used to, it does charge up as soon as it's empty.
It really works as specified, but you have to do it before you can make sense of it. I trashed the tools to open it because it's one of those things where you really have to do it before you understand it. Here's something I'd like to add The thin part of the larger tool contains the thin edge that you need to stick into the case opening before the thick part is jammed into it. The thin end is merely to help you grasp your toes. You can wedge the tool open and perform back and forth motions to separate the clips as you work the tool. The wiring may vary, but on mine it was under the circuit board, but it wasn't on my friend's. There is no need to break anything with the smaller tool since it is sized to take out the old battery without breaking it. The hard drive was removed from its connector, however the headphone connector was taped on, so I left that cable unplugged even though some sites suggest it should be removed. In that order I was able to bend the wires the right way more easily after plugging in the new battery. Then I ran the wire under the little circuit board and screwed it back down, and then I placed the battery in its final location. After that, I plugged the hard drive back in and closed the case again. There you go! The system I'm certain the next time will be a lot easier.
At first, the battery replacement lasted only a day. After only a couple of months of use, a full charge will go flat in about 2 days. The use of this product should last four hours. In addition, I find that a full charge will go down after a week even if I do not turn the unit on I don't accept it.
During the first charge, the device did not work. A battery that's hard to find at this price is a good deal. I was able to charge it once, but it stopped working after. There was an issue with the battery on the iPod and when it was plugged in, it did not charge. uninstalled the kit first, but it was fixed by another kit I purchased from the fix site. In addition to charging the new battery several times, I am currently using the old battery.
