In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter. Sadly, the makers and wholesalers of these batteries have covered their tracks with way too many rules and regulations Rating their batteries is an important step. "this one goes to 11" in Spinal Shock. were honestly rated, and if they were made to last, we would all be able to have a battery with 600mAh capacity like this.
YES, I bought two batteries and they worked, I made a 1st gen SD iPod mini and bought battery that worked with it.
In Melvin's opinion, because it has a higher capacity for storage, it should be able to play the iPod mini for a longer time without needing to be refilled after a while. The difference between 1,300 milliamp hours and 2,000 milliamp hours is 1.03. There is a theoretical difference of 44% in the battery life between the 900 milliamp hour battery and the 4400 milliamp hour battery. Despite the fact that I am not an electrical engineer, I believe that to be the case.

The screwdrivers that came with this battery are cute and useful, so I gave it 2 stars. The battery itself does not have a capacity of 1300mAh. You can clean your fingernails with it, work on your glasses, scratch your initials into your desk, etc. This battery has been cranked through three charging/discharging cycles and the best capacity I received was In other words, that's about 35% of what was advertised. After a discharge of 4, I performed a test. A voltage range of 2 to 3 is recommended. The voltage is 0 volts at 100 mA. Although battery sellers usually specify a discharge rate of approximately 5% of the total capacity, which for this battery would have been 65mA, but my minimum discharge rate for this setup was 100mA, so even with that, it wasn't enough to meet my test requirements. Although you can account for that, it's nowhere near as big as the It has an $8 460mAh battery, so if that suits you, this will do. As a matter of fact, that's approximately the same capacity as the stock ipod mini battery, so that one should give you around the same amount of play time as the original. It's a good idea to start small. It's not going to be a 3x improvement, if you are expecting that. The battery in my Garmin 305 comes with a 700mAh battery, and I bought this to replace it. If this battery had been at least as powerful as my old one, I would have been happy. This device ran continuously for a total of 10*11 hours in its new state. For this battery, I can expect it to last around 7 hours before it dies. As it seems to be the norm for aftermarket "compatible" batteries, we have to accept this. Despite purchasing several batteries from Amazon, I have yet to find a battery that actually matches its stated My recommendation is that you divide the advertised capacity by 3 first, and if you are still OK with the price, buy it after that. Be aware, however, that these cheapo batteries are unlikely to endure the same number of charge/discharge cycles as a quality battery like those from Sanyo, Panasonic, etc, so expect them to fail sooner rather than later.
Having recently run about 90 minutes on my last run, the battery life of my aging Forerunner 305 had gone from 9+ hours when new in 09, down to about 90 minutes with this new one. The battery used in this device is a 1300mAh (the oem Garmin was a 720mAh), but it only lasts about eight hours. On a full charge, you can use the phone for 5 hours. In truth, I can't really complain because I got decent battery life for the price of $8, but this battery doesn't live up to its mark. I could imagine that the battery would outperform the stock one by at least a bit with a 40% larger capacity.
After taking my Ipod Mini apart to find out that the battery does not work, I am now frustrated. You don't need to worry about anything! I'm bummed. As soon as I realized it wasn't working, I sent it out to be replaced. The reason they are made the way they are now makes sense to me. It's not a project for the average DIY enthusiast.
This is an update for July 2016. I still have a good battery. Although the watch gets much less use these days, it still works fine. The battery still lasts for a long time on a The following update was posted in September 2014 Almost a year after installing the battery in Forerunner, it is still working fine. I have read the original I now have a longer lasting battery charge on the forerunner 305 than I did before. It would take me four hours to hike four miles I had no problems with the 305 after 5 hours. It became apparent after a few years that the charging life changed significantly. After about one to two hours, the 305 began to display a low battery warning, then went dark after yet The following list of hikes covered the majority of them, but not all of them. major problem for hiking, however, I like to snowshoe and my Garmin 305 GPS watch becomes a safety device while on the trail. My phone will be able to direct me back to my car if I get lost, or if I need help, I will be able to provide an accurate GPS location. However, the 305 can only run with a battery for a limited period of time. This battery replaces the original battery quite nicely (you can find a variety of youtube videos explaining the process on YouTube). In my experience, the battery lasted for my first long hike (4 hours 45 minutes) without the low battery warning, so I feel confident that the battery has a minimum 6 hour life in the 305, and may last even This is exactly what I need.
It is possible to see numerous YouTube videos that demonstrate step by step how to install. An excellent value for the money!.
bought the battery to replace the one in my old iPod mini that's ten years old. YouTube helped me with the replacement (with the help of the video). My six year old can now dance and carry around the music player for a long time now because of the long battery life.
