I had nothing to lose when I converted my old Zip file to a new one. There was no charge in the old battery. It was difficult and messy to open the box (I used a thin guitar pick as the best tool I could find), but I managed to do it with some It was the task of using a small soldering iron to break the old battery wires and connect the new ones that was the most difficult. My Sansa Clip Zip is many years old, and I installed this in it. I found the installation of this unit not overly difficult once I opened it up, but one must have some familiarity with the use of a soldering iron. The battery was installed, and I charged it. I noticed two issues afterward. First, the battery struggles to charge to 100%, which I see at the battery information reading under Settings. It is between Here's some information. Replace the battery with a good one. As of yet, there are no problems. I gave my wife a lovely gift for her MP3 player (was used for hers). During this time you should be careful If you have no experience fixing small PCB solder joints, you shouldn't attempt this alone. Each component must be soldered in, and every component is quite small.
