However, the tools are junk and I was unable to find the solution
5/5

If it helps anyone, here is what the issue was I found that the battery in my JBL Charge 3 was not holding charge very well. Approximately 30 minutes after the battery was fully charged, the red light would flash. quality seemed to be fine while the device was plugged in, but once it went below about 80% battery power, the sound quality was so diminished that it sounded like the speakers had just This would go away immediately after plugging it back in again. Take apart it requires a lot of steps, but you can find YouTube videos on how to do There is some time involved, but the process isn't that difficult. There were no tools included, the trim removal tool broke on both sides immediately after you used it. As I already have my own tools, I did not need their help. As a precaution, I wrapped the cables with electrical tape after sticking on the foam. Because of the way I installed the battery, the cables were pressing against the inside of the right subwoofer piece, causing it to rattle. As I discovered after the speaker enclosure was put back together, I had to take it apart again and then cable tie the battery cables to the frame of the right front speaker enclosure, just so I could keep them hidden. Getting rid of the sides is the hardest part. I hope someone will find it useful to push a tiny flathead screwdriver under the clips on one side of the side piece and turn it counterclockwise.

Apparently my Charge3 speaker is alive again
5/5

It was exhibiting red-light flashes when it lost a charge (ha ha!). It sounded awful with low tones as well. However, I began by replacing the battery instead of the speakers when I thought the speakers were blown. Using YouTube's video tutorials, I was able to get it ready in about 20 to 30 minutes. It's brand new, just like a However, I still get some bass buzzing that I did not notice when it was newer, but it is at least usable again now. My personal opinion is that there are more screws behind the battery than necessary, but then I replaced a disk drive in a Wii and I will never complain about unnecessary screws again. Besides, there's nothing to do in quarantine anyways.

I didn't need the tools that came with it since I had my own small bit kit that I had purchased.

The JBL Charge 3 fits this case
4/5

all, this battery works with the JBL Charge three. The tools that come with it are pretty worthless, aside from a green pick tool. However, I have used it. It took a lot of screws to take it apart, I watched a YouTube video for help. To know how to remove the speaker, turn it to the left. I couldn't figure that out at first but a few squeezes got it off everything seems to be working fine I've only had it about a week but everything fits perfectly and I've been getting steady charge.

I like that it's simple and it works
5/5

The work is good. It is only a matter of time before we can determine its In case it stops working soon, I will make sure to update my review, so if no update, assume it is still working. With the JBL I had, the sound would get distorted, almost as if the speaker had been blown, though it wasn't. I would leave the computer off for a few minutes, then turn it back on. There were issues with the battery, as it was going bad and could not We were able to resolve the issue by removing the battery. Just search on YouTube for a video that shows how to change it.

It is not necessary to buy the tool kit model
3/5

It was also stated in another review, but I just wanted to make sure I knew what I was looking for. The battery came with the tools and so I ordered it. A small screw driver that is not included in this kit was used instead. Among the tools in the tool kit are a plastic pry bar, star bits, one phillips head, and a flathead screwdriver. Normally, you only need a phillips screwdriver for these screws, but the one provided in the kit is so small that it was stripping the screw's heads, so I ended up using a smaller one that I had in my toolbox. The mesh screen did come off, but I had to use a small pry tool. A flat head screwdriver could have done the trick, too. As a whole, it's not a big deal since I had to spend a few extra bucks to get Although the battery works so far, it seems to be good. The problem has only been present for a couple of days. I hope you find this helpful.

The JBL Charge 3 works great with this
5/5

I was initially skeptical, but after watching a few videos on youtube, it was not hard to do it myself. The kit came with all the necessary tools and foam tapes so my charge 3 is like new, although it will not take a splash since it was opened for the battery change.

It is a mistake to use all these tools
3/5

The tools that came with the battery were really helpful. There are no tools that fit the little ones that are battery-operated! Unfortunately, I am disappointed. I can buy the battery from several vendors, but I choose the one I need for the tools, and none are what I need.

The battery seems to be working Not all tools are included in the kit
4/5

So far, I give the battery 5 out of 5 stars since it works well and holds a good charge. Despite the fact that the little screwdrivers are not all perfectly sized, I gave the tool kit a 2 out of 5. It turned out that I had to go to the store to buy some microdrivers.
