Though it is a battery replacement, it is not an exact match. You can see in the pictures that the replacement battery has a smaller diameter than the original battery. battery doesn't fit snugly into the compartment, which results in an erratic power output. By adding electrical tape to the extra diameter, I made up the difference. Suppose you didn't do this and you were to play music, the battery would vibrate and rattle. The battery will only last as long as the original once the initial charge is gone. I'm not certain if either is actually 3,000 mah, since the replacement is smaller than the original. In any case, they are both labeled as 3,000.
