When using it in the Atchafalaya River, I found it to be very effective. As long as the transducer is drifting, you will see the image that is behind the transducer if it is moving.

After I contacted the company Venterior, we discovered the cause of the issue was due to the boat Garmin unit interfering with the signal. It's very accurate after I tried it at the bank. Despite every negative comment I've heard about the company, they stand behind the products they sell. Likewise, I have the older model with an antenna, which is an outstanding fish finder, but I love this new model because it doesn't have the antenna. This is the most accurate fish finder I've used in the same price range. I've tried many in the same price range and returned them all. Compared to the older model, which took AA batteries, only the built-in battery will be of concern in the future. A 5 out of 10 for the unit and a 10 out of 10.
I have just updated my post on July 10, 20. 7/10/2020 is the update review date. I tried it on the water and it works, but here are the reasons why I docked it from 5 stars to 4. Although the battery was charged both on the finder and on the receiver, the remaining charge went down to 50% in about 3 hours. Taking a look at the screen, it's not easy to tell what's going on. To read the display, I first turned it white, and then I turned it down to 70%, and I still couldn't read it without shielding the fish finder with my hand. I might make a shield for it or maybe I'll find another covering for it. Fish and the depth of the water were displayed clearly, and the water temperature was recorded. It is a difficult time of the year to catch fish. As a starter fish finder, it's a good little device with the exception of the battery depleting quicker than I like.
Review I wish you all a happy and safe 4th of July. The fishfinder I received was the result of looking around for wireless fishfinders. It is true it has only been received by a small number, but it received high ratings despite that. I am pleased with the screen which is quite easy to read, and can be seen in bright sunlight as well (that is a huge plus since my cellphone is generally hard to see in bright sunshine) and moving from one menu option to another pretty easy. As of now, it is fully charged and ready to be tested on There are a few small things I wish it came with, such as a rope or something to attach it to besides mono. I devised a fishing line connected to a parachute cord so I could drop it off the side of my kayak or shore toss it. I will update more after we have tested the water.
It is too bad for me to do any more fishing but for right now I am satisfied. It is important for me to have a rechargeable so that there is no worry of the batteries running out. Having done a thorough search on finders before making the purchase I believe I made the optimal choice as Venterior has one of the best customer service departments I have ever seen in my 77 years of life. It is harder today to tie knots due to the use of swivels in fishing rods. This fish finder would be a great resource for anyone interested in going fishing. I can't wait to get on the water and get The experience was really good for me. A pole extending 12 feet from me belongs to me. I thank Venterior for having a depth finder like this.
With it, I found a lot of depth. Whenever I catch a fish the screen turns white and the screen cannot function. I think water splashed onto it when I caught the fish.
The folks are so helpful, and so responsive. To ensure that your product is registered properly, make sure to follow Make sure that you get a waterproof pouch for the receiver that you can wear around your neck. Six feet and one inch It serves well to cast the transducer with a pole that is 6'6" heavy or medium heavy with strong line. Be sure to read the manual once you get the device. There is lots of customizability available so that you can make the receiver fit your fishing needs. There is also the option to adjust the volume of the alarm. This fish finder was designed to be used on kayak crappie fishing for its first test. I was able to fan cast the transducer to various spots where I thought crappies could be found, and move on after a few minutes if I did not get any fish signals. My fishing time decreased by 15 minutes per spot, and I used my paddle time more efficiently finally, I paddled to a location with 90 degree cliffs, a water depth of 37 feet, and water temperature of 50 degrees. After casting out the transducer, I was immediately alerted that fish were nearby. On the receiver, fish were found between 15' and 11' below the surface. As soon as you have set the alarms and icons and become familiar with how the software works, you don't have to stare at the receiver all the time. In addition to being easy to use, accurate, and portable, this finder is also extremely lightweight. Make your purchase as soon as possible. These are some of the things you need to know to make your fishing trip.
* The receiver is handheld and there is an adequate battery life but I wish the battery life was Even so, I wish there was a bit more time available as it is not so short that I would not be happy. In a nutshell, a unit that takes AA or AAA batteries would be preferable, as they would be easy to replace
It's pretty cool to be able to take a look to see if there are any fish in the area. There are no negative reviews. It seems like everything the ad says it does is true. As an overall, I am quite happy with it, as it is smaller and easier to use than the old item.
The packaging was excellent too. However, I haven't had the chance to use the sonar part yet, but the monitor appears to be working. Only thing I didn't like was the small hole in the transducer where you tie your line. I had to spend a little time finding the hole. The product, as a whole, appears to be very good.
