You will not get a thrill from drilling

The directions are clear and easy to follow. A sonar transducer should be mounted on a flat surface. Because there is no hole in the boat, there is no leakage risk.

There was a problem with the adhesive

There was no adhesion of the epoxy. I applied it as directed on my first attempt, but it fell off the boat on my second attempt. It wouldn't be recommended.
