am not sure, but mine is installed in a pontoon boat, and the transducer is at the bottom of the boat.
This kit includes a cable and a transducer. An existing cable connects the transducer to the amplifier.
As I worked on my 208LR Stingray, I noticed that the screws were loose. A port on the drive was used to connect the device. Just as a factory unit usually would.

I've installed HDR650s on Brig Inflatable boats for many years without encountering any In two weeks, I tried two different products, both of which failed to make me money. Initially I called it a hummingbird and a hummingbird The display worked fine and I explained that the problem was that it did not read depth. I was given the runaround about checking connections. Once again, I was asked if I checked connections by some incompetent women who couldn't tell a volt drop test from a volt drop test. Eventually, after half an hour, she gave me an address to return the product to, at my expense, I tested the second, but did not actually install it in the This was the same issue I had with the first one, I was able to return the unit because I was returning it within 30 days, however I still had to pay return shipping on this one as well. This crap product should have been discontinued long ago. The product has been purchased and is ready for delivery I replaced my junk Humminbird with a Hawkeye unit, which was easy to install and proved to be trouble-free. I ordered another Hawkeye for a different.
The only thing I can say is that's about it. This is mounted inside the hull in a little tube that is epoxy-glued to it. There is a thin layer of baby oil covering it. A fiberglass boat that has an additional epoxy layer on the hull can be lined with this through the There's a sort of chincy quality to this face, like a paper cutout This type of material is sticky backed. Despite having a cover over it so that it is not directly exposed to rain or spray, I have my doubts on how long it will last. As far as the hull offset works go, they are very intuitive. However, in my case at least, the buttons are used only once while setting In my opinion, they protrude too far from the body. In the event of a bump or a passenger playing with the offset, the setting would change. A bad thing like that would happen! It is what I would have purchased if I had been able to find one with a larger screen and better quality. There was none to be found.
Sadly, I could not remove the transducer after gluing it to the ground plane. This item was hit or miss during the first attempt to install it. In the first installation attempt, the hull was installed through the side. I did as the manual instructed and placed the unit on the hull and filled it with water, then placed a bag of rocks over the top of the unit while the boat is in motion, so it could be tested. I was very happy with the results. I was disappointed to discover that after I glued the transducer to the hull, the transmitter didn't work the next time the boat was out. I was able to get it off the hull without damaging the transducer too much by using a hammer and screwdriver for about 45 minutes. In the end, I put the transducer over the side of the boat and tested it. Despite no longer functioning through the hull, the system still seemed to be working just fine. I went back to step 1 and tested the transducer through the hull with a bag of rocks and water and it didn't work like it did the first time. It would work for a moment and then give completely inaccurate readings. In the end, I mounted it on the transom using the mounting hardware provided. You should be careful with the screws that come with the unit since if you use one which is slightly too small in the pilot hole, it will rip your thick fiberglass transom of its heads. It is important to make pilot holes large enough. I tested the transducer that's mounted on the transom last weekend. Everything worked as intended, even at 30mph, it stayed locked on and gave me accurate depth data. With through-hull installation, the hardware is cheap but the product doesn't work properly, so I gave it 3 stars. Whenever you plan to install a sounder through your hull, consider one that was specifically made for the job. This is a good unit for a reasonable price if you're fine with mount it on the transom.
Transducer is definitely superior in terms of features to the Hawkeye depth sounder that it replaced. It is a hassle to install because the thread size of the gauge is inadequate and the rod is hard to install. The backing should be of standard gauge like all the other manufacturers. As well, the gauge calls for 2 1/8, yet the threads around the gauge required a little Although I used a file to get the hole saw to fit, I'm not sure whether this is related to my hole saw not being the right size. Apart from that, I'm happy with it.
Those who are putting around at less than 10 mph will find this useful. You will notice the depth bounces all over the place once you get up on the plane. At a speed greater than 20 mph, I have made several adjustments and it still does not give accurate depth. The fact that you have to watch and maneuver your boat isn't so big of a deal if you are a cautious boater or you are unfamiliar with the area. There are rivers where we boat.
The only thing I can review is In spite of my keen interest in the silver bezel, I'm surprised at how different the one delivered is from The diameter of the bezel is tiny and it's made of plastic. The item looks like it would be worth $20. Back from vacation.
It's a great depth finder, I like it The information is quite accurate - In the end, the depth gauge was spot on when measured with a ruler. It would be nice if the display did not include a decimal point. This window is quite small (especially for my aging eyes) - What matters is how deep the water is, not whether it is three feet deep. It measures 3 feet in length. The accuracy of that level is not required for me. The fractions could be removed so it would just read as it is-.
It works great, but I would suggest painting the metallic part gold so that it matches the other displays on the older boat.
