Despite searching all over the web for a quality review of this product specifically related to ice fishing, I couldn't come across any. In spite of all this, I still purchased the Deeper Pro and I used it quite a bit Just as I did, I hope this will help those of you who are wondering how this will hold up on the ice. It's been noted that some reviews have criticized the Deeper's responsiveness, particularly when paired with its app on your smart device. While I have never documented its responsiveness in time, I can tell you I never faced any issues with it when used on the ice. I like the fact that the Deeper Pro keeps updating your data in real time while on the ice. It has 3 different modes and I tend to use the flasher mode or the standard mode. I find that the standard mode is more accurate when ice fishing because it shows you what is beneath you more clearly than the Nonetheless, both flasher and standard mode seem to work as expected and have helped me catch more fish than I was able to without them. Up until now, I have not used the third mode, which is for being on a boat. Battery life for this on ice is about 4 hours. It may be a little longer than that, but the actual duration is less than I would imagine that the cold environment associated with ice fishing does more harm to the battery than if it were summertime. The battery has been reliable since I received it, and is not something that is degrading over time. Even though it is much shorter than your flasher battery, I have managed to get around it by using a portable device charger. I take Deeper out and recharge it whenever the battery is getting low, which only takes about 30 minutes to get back to full power. The app gives you constant battery life feedback and when it is getting low on battery, I take it out and recharge it. It seems to be the biggest difficulty I have encountered so far is using a Deeper next to a buddy who is also using one. It is impossible to eliminate signal interference and it is a huge problem. Despite the fact that you can still see fish on your screen, there is certainly some feedback, which makes navigation more difficult than necessary. It isn't my experience to have this around someone else with a true flasher, but I imagine with the amount of power a conventional flasher gives you, the feedback may overwhelm what your deeper I will let you know how everything went if I ever have the opportunity to fish with someone who has a flasher. The Deeper Pro was in my possession for 6 weeks. I used it 8 times during that time and The device works if I charge it and cast it into water. It gives me the correct battery reading and temperature when connected to the phone, but doesn't provide an actual sonar feed due to a generic error message that says "too shallow or too deep. " Called their US support number and got 3 basic questions answered (is the screw in the right spot for hooking it up, does the app say its connected) and then was told someone would email me the next business day (not call me). Wow! That's not even the half of it. If I had more time, I would return this to Amazon, but I've reached my return policy expiration date.

It didn't work as advertised after paying a premium. I used it twice and it didn't work. I cannot connect my iPhone to my laptop more than a few feet away from the router because the WiFi is too weak. In the event that it does connect, I receive a "too shallow/too deep" error message. My experience with Customer Service was excellent. I purchased the product and used it for one time, and it worked perfectly. My experience using the unit through ice was excellent. It gave similar readings to the Vexlar unit I found in the hole next to mine.
