Brocraft Universal Portable Transducer Bracket + Fishfinder Mount.

My assembly took me 5 minutes and the result is perfect. It is very well designed and the user interface is very The Cabela's Sully transducer bracket offers such poor mounting. This is so much better. Those Sully brackets were poorly designed and a pain in the ass to assemble with poor If you wish to troll deeper, spend an additional $20 for what you believe is a superior product. You can mount your fish finder on it, and it is 10 inches longer than the Sully. A couple of weeks after I purchased the Sully bracket, I returned it after seeing how badly My aluminum plate needed holes drilled in it so that I could bolt on the transducer. There is an off-center mounting of the transducer. Having not used it thus far, but it looks fantastic and I'm sure there will be no drop in performance from extra turbulence. A bolt is located in the flip up bracket, but the instructions say to not bolt it down since if you hit something, it will flip open. There was only one cap at the end of the tube. Caps were not present on the other end. It is my responsibility to contact the company to determine the cause. It's important to keep salt water out of those places so that it doesn't rust.

Exactly what was described in the product description. My issue
(1) The clamp does not close all the way, as the screw is short, such that it will not clamp on thin parts The clamp was useful to mount my transducer to my pontoon boat, but I had to secure it with a piece of wood so it would attach securely to the aluminum skirt. I'm not sure why they didn't make the screw long enough to ensure that it would fully close. The gap seemed to be about 1/2 inch wide, but not sure how big it is A 3/4-inch bit of rubber! A photo of a C clamp can be found here. (1) It would have been nice if it came with a set of stainless steel screws and bolts for mounting the transducer to the flat plate, I had to purchase a set for mounting it. The other good news is that it appears to be made of high-quality materials and does the job I bought.

It is a great concept . . . BUT. . . . the pole piece snapped when it hit a wave. A replacement has been hard to find on the Internet, and no sources could be found. I was able to get in touch with Brocraft using Amazon. As well as a replacement part, they promised it would arrive promptly, and I will update this review when it does arrive as promised. It is clear that this prompt response exceeded my expectations, and the part has now arrived and been I appreciate both the great idea and the excellent service once again! This bracket could be improved by adding a greater amount of material.

The construction is excellent. There are only two issues with this product. The clamp does not go all the way closed, so mounting to an incredibly thin boat wall or hull may be problematic. The pole is too short. With it mounted in a pantoon boat at the front, it barely reaches under water with the transducer attached. If you have a thick plate to shim it with, it is fine. Due to the lever arm, if it were longer, the plastic clamps may not hold under trolling water pressure. Having said that, it would work for a canoe and kayak or even a small metal boat. I should also have checked that the dimensions are included in the image, so there is no need to do that.

My pole is 31 3/4" long and has a rectangular metal piece at the bottom. It is an aluminum pole, it is 28. 75" high. Who or what is responsible for this?.
