Is it possible to use the aux in on one adapter to stream analog audio to all of the other adapters and soundtouch devices on my network at the same time?

What is the benefit of this over the Bose Bluetooth Audio Adapter? I'd like to turn my Cinemate 15 into a wireless device. ?

The SoundTouch Wireless link has the biggest advantage over the Bose bluetooth audio adapter in that it allows your CineMate 15 to use Bose's new SoundTouch app. You can use SoundTouch to access music from a variety of online sources, including Spotify, Pandora, Tunein, Internet Radio, and music stored on your computer or network. storage with a connection The SoundTouch Wireless Link Adapter allows your Cinemate 15 to connect to your WiFi network, allowing you to control your experience from any location in the house. As an added bonus, Bose offers a wide range of SoundTouch Music and Home Theater systems that can be used in conjunction with your Cinemate 15 to play the same or different music throughout your home. Apart from these advantages, you will still have access to a bluetooth connection if you want to stream services that the SoundTouch app does not yet support, such as YouTube.

Is this compatible with my Amazon Echo Dot 2?

Yes, you can pair the 2nd Gen Echo Dot with the SoundTouch Wireless Link and listen to Alexa's voice and music through the connected audio system. Thank you for your inquiry!

A cinemate speaker system is installed in my home. Is this something that you plug into the interface module or something that you replace the interface module with?

It will work if you plug your cinemate into this adapter. I have an old Bose wave radio that I connect to this adapter via the aux input. I now have crystal clear internet radio, and I've been using my iPod's Bluetooth function to listen to podcasts while listening to great internet radio. Because we live in a two-story house, I bought a Bose SoundTouch 10 speaker, which is wirelessly connected to this adapter. Through the Bose adapter and your iPod or iPhone app, you can listen to one station upstairs while another listens to a different program on the SoundTouch radio. br>Sincerely, br>George Goochbr>I give it 5 stars, yaybr>

I was hoping for something like this
5/5

In my house, I have two soundtouch systems and an eight-year-old Bose 321 system in the living room. The 321 has great sound and functionality, but it's a little behind the times in terms of connectivity and media options. This made it very simple for me to sync everything, and I'll be using it on a regular basis now. Perfect!.

I was pleasantly surprised, and I thought it was cleverly impressive! I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I do
5/5

But I do, so I ordered another one for a different home system in a different room! br>br>For years, I've been completely satisfied with Logitech Bluetooth adapters for my two large home systems, and I didn't expect that to change anytime soon. I was able to pair up, stream, and have a good time. I'd seen these systems in the Bose Outlet stores a few times, and despite a valiant sales effort on the part of the store staff, I couldn't see why the SoundTouch system was any better than simply BlueToothing into anything. I have two Soundlink Mini IIs for bedside radio and downstairs speakerphone setup, a Soundlink Color for sailing, beach picnics, and other outdoor activities, and I was at the Bose Outlet picking up a large Soundlink III for yard work and porch use when I got caught in the SoundTouch trap. I needed the Soundlink III because our older Soundlink I had been given to a cousin, our newer Soundlink II had been taken by a son, and how many more excuses do I need for a III? We clearly have a lot of experience with Bose Bluetooth devices, and I'm impressed enough to be a repeat customer. br>br>Now on to the SoundTouch tale. I'm getting a refurb of the Soundlink III and the sales rep tells me I can get another 2015% off on another refurb product if I'd like and he said the I said'sold' at that price because I was planning to use the Soundlink III in the kitchen for morning radio, but with the SoundTouch 10, I could just leave it plugged in and maybe those tricky presets and SoundTouch magic would be worth it. It was almost half-price, so it was worth a try. It is an understatement to say that it is worth it. The SoundTouch system was fantastic, especially with the gifts and integration with Amazon Music, Pandora, and a plethora of Internet Radio stations. I could press 1 on the little remote and NPR in DC would start playing almost instantly, and I could set 2/3 to other NPR stations we liked that had great evening music. 4 was a rock station in Manchester, England, that we've always liked, 5 was a pure internet SOMA FM streaming channel, and 6 was a French radio station called FIP. This had to be set up from what I thought was an overly complicated app when I tried to figure it out in the store, but it's actually ridiculously simple, walks you through it step by step, and then you can just press the remote buttons or the speaker buttons and you're listening in no time. This is clearly superior to pairing with Bluetooth because once it's set up, you don't even need a phone or tablet. Then, after setting up the app on the phone, I installed it on a tablet, and the tablet picked up the presets, newly named speaker, and Amazon/Pandora I'd set up on the phone. The SoundTouch bonus was beginning to make sense at this point. You're not restricted by Bluetooth range because the devices control the playback, with the app serving only as a manager. br>br>I'm telling you all this about a SoundTouch 10 speaker on this Wireless Link Adapter review because it was the ease of use and Amazon/Pandora/Internet Radio/Computer music library integration in a single app that pushed me from individual speakers to this Wireless Link, and now my large Denon/Boston Acoustics system with 600W Sub is speaking the SoundTouch language and is easily accessible/use/sync systems etc. I couldn't believe how simple it was to integrate all of the controlling devices and speakers and how well they synchronized. There's even a way to advance or delay individual speakers in 10ms increments if they're not syncing properly, but I've never needed to use it. br>br>Overall, it's a fascinatingly simple way to take control of your entire home's audio environment, playing different or the same things on any or all of your devices, all while controlling the volumes together or independently, all from any phone, tablet, or computer. clever in every way. After playing with it at home rather than in the store, I can see the benefits, and all of my friends who have seen it in action so far are sold. To put it another way, there's only one app that can rule them all. I thought streaming was simple enough, but this is even simpler. Once set up and running, it works independently of devices, and the ability to sync the entire downstairs has started a dance party routine that we could only achieve previously by setting everything to the same over-the-air radio station. br>br>I could go on and on to explain it all, but I just wanted to say that this is the best new audio toy I've had since I got an original SoundLink I a long time ago. It actually works exactly as you'd hope and expect if you'd planned it all out yourself. br>br>***We have Android and Windows devices and have had no problems sharing audio files from our computers or music services. I saw a review that said Apple wasn't supported, and while I can't comment on that, I can assure you that the Bose Sound Connect App will work flawlessly with your Android and Windows streaming personal MP3s and all of your Amazon, Pandora, and other services.

Not ready for prime time, or for that matter, any time
3/5

There are three inputs on the WLA. 1) a music service (or your computer's hard drive), 2) Bluetooth (e. g. , to an Echo Dot), or 3) an aux input (to an iPod or iPhone). br>br>The problem with the WLA is that it loses connection with the source after 20 minutes of no input, and must be reset. The WLA unit, on the other hand, only has one input option: bluetooth. If you want to connect to a music service like Spotify or Amazon Music, or to the unit's aux input (for example, to play an iPod), locate your phone, launch the Bose app, go to settings, and select the appropriate input. You won't be able to do it on the wireless link adapter directly. For me, this is a deal breaker. There should be a button on the unit that allows you to select one of the three options without having to go through the menu system. Two other concerns are: br>br>
- The fact that my WLA connection to my Mac's music library keeps dropping out, with the message "Hmmmm, it looks like your music library isn't available right now, Try again in a few seconds. " "On the other hand, it's been hours since I've been able to connect. You must restart the computer app, after which it will play for ten minutes. After 15 minutes, the connection was lost, and the aggravation began once more.

- The WLA also stops playing music from Spotify or Amazon Music for two minutes. 3 seconds for every 2-second interval 3 minutes is a long time in my opinion. The playback was never cached by Bose. And my WLA is connected to a state-of-the-art Verison FIOS system that has no trouble streaming high-definition video, so don't blame it on my wifi connection, Bose. I only have this problem with your WLAbr>br>So whether you're trying to choose an input, play music from your computer's library, or use a service, this unit is broken. br>br>My recommendation is that you go fix a unit that was poorly designed. Last but not least, Amazon and Spotify no longer upload itunes playlists to their services, which is very disappointing. br>br>Last but not least, Amazon and Spotify no longer upload itunes playlists to their services, which is very disappointing. br>br> So, if you've got i-, you're in luck. If you have a playlist with hundreds of songs and want to use a streaming service, you must rebuild it from scratch, one song at a time. br>br>Absolutely absurd. I just squandered three days of my life figuring out that none of this works. Whatever you decide to do, best of luck.

The inability to recall which audio source was selected, combined with an unreliable app connection, turns a good idea into a flawed product, and this product is flawed
3/5

You must go to the app to switch to Aux, Bluetooth, or the SoundTouch itself every time you want to use it. The last selection is not remembered, and the audio source is not automatically selected. When the app can't detect the SoundTouch link adapter, you have to restart both the adapter and the app to connect, which can turn into a 15-minute exercise every time I want to watch or listen to something. Apple Music is also not supported. What irritates me the most is the inconsistency of the connection.

If you want to save money, go with the Sonos version
3/5

Doesn't even come close to Sonos in terms of sound quality. I already have a Bose Lifestyle home theater, but I wanted to be able to listen to my digital music or Pandora through my Bose stereo system. I bought Sonos speakers for my bedrooms and bathroom a few months ago and fell in love with the company's products, especially the music-controlling Sonos app. The Bose app, on the other hand, frequently hangs up or fails to locate my music, especially when I'm using my iPhone. I eventually ditched the Bose in favor of the Sonos wireless receiver component. It's pricier, but it's worth every penny. What you pay for is exactly what you get.
