Questions & Answers

HDT's I had when I was younger Having trouble shutting down on 1 is a problem. The cost of repairing it is quite high! In this case, it is A 1999 If it is brand new, will there be 1 glitch?

It consists of several components There are no longer any Sangean 1 products. It is therefore likely to be difficult to resolve the glitch Your best bet would be to go to a Send an inquiry to . I hope you find it helpful.

It is difficult for me to listen to Interlochen Public Radio from where I live. HD can be found on their What are the chances of me being able to play this station on this receiver?

Normally, it should be able to get the station, but I would check with the station to make sure it can receive the signal.

In what ways are the HDT and HDP different I want to combine hdt-1 and What is the difference between 20 and which is better?

Oh, that's a good point. There are some radio enthusiasts who believe the HDT1 performs better than the HDT20. It's hard for me to review the 20 because I haven't used it. I, however, cannot. I have been using the 1 for the past 7 years and I am listening to it as I write this. I like how straightforward it is in operation. Despite the fact that a new one is not necessary, the old one is still working very well. I hope you found that helpful! I've been a fan of Gerry's music and art for years

Can you tell me how long the warranty for this equipment is? In order to get warranty service for my tuner, what should I do?

A warranty of one year should be provided for parts and labor Labor is covered for about 90 days from the date of purchase, or 1 year on parts. There is no way other than going to the manufacturer. You can find the service center closest to you by going to the website. In the event of a unit being older than the manufacturer, you would contact them if you bought the extended service plan. There is usually an extended warranty period following the manufacturer's warranty (usually one year after the original warranty period. In a given period of time). Can you tell me how this helps?

Don't get caught up in the jargon
5/5

I bought it on Amazon. com from Egroup after reading all the hype about this HD tuner. Despite its low price, I had my doubts but ended up buying it. I was very happy to see the unit in perfect condition. The area where I live is in Dallas. Connecting the tuner to the Onkyo 606 I have is simple. Playing the tuner through the 7 seems to work well for me. The primary audio speakers will be used for home theater. The secondaries will be used for whole house audio. Sangean is an easy addition to the Logitech Harmony 880 I use to control the whole system. I appreciate how well thought out the controls are. Despite being cheap, the remote stores well with more than a dozen other remotes I have. I'm very impressed with the tuner, and it is extremely responsive compared to standard FM radio. This is not CD, but it has a much higher degree of fidelity As an analogy, the quality leap you experience going from FM to FM HD is similar to the leap you experience As far as Dallas was concerned, I had about six FM stations clearly audible. With the new FM HD broadcasts, there are 36 FM broadcasts I can hear The number of regular FM stations in addition to that is unknown to me. They are kind of snubbed by me. It is possible to find about six HD AM There is a great deal of variety in HD as well. With all 20 FM presets selected, plus the 6 AM stations, and the remaining 14 AM presets unfilled, I have no FM presets left. You don't have to worry about it. I'm grateful that it won't lose presets if the power goes out. The first time I've ever been able to get the local classical station without periodic multipath is now. There can be no doubt that Dallas is the HD version of It was easy to switch to normal FM even when the signal dropped. Before buying an HD radio, check out the HD Radio website and see if you like the HD broadcasts available in your area. On this unit, optical out is another option, but it is unlikely you can tell the difference between the RCA jacks and optical out. The HDT-version is priced at the current rate I believe 1 is worth, see the Egroup. You may not be able to get enough by spending more. Despite repeated attempts to turn it off, the LCD stays on. There is a fairly large number displaying the time. Although it's not as bright as a 4 watt night light, it is similar to a LCD alarm clock in terms of light output. There are some who think they're too bright, but not so much that they'll keep from tripping over things on the floor in the dark. Somebody said their FM tuner sounded better than this because it had a brighter LED like the one on the subwoofer.

In fact, the LED on the Sangean is brighter, etc. Is that so? Where did they get it from? I've learned from reading reviews that if the review is written by someone with an agenda or an audio snob, I stop reading and move on.

I don't think it's that good

It is well worth the cost to get two of these tuners to go into my multi-tube amplifier The zone system, which I am building, required that I find something that is relatively inexpensive and fits well into the rack with the other components of the system. While looking at other tuners that I believe are better, I found they are more expensive than I could afford. This product seemed to be ok according to reviews, so I ordered some. It was just fine with me, so I figured the quality of the sound was just fine. Considering the fact that this technology has been around for decades, you should not have any problems getting decent results. I immediately became aware of how muffled they sounded once I hooked one up to my high end stereo to see how it worked. As I compare this tuner to my other tuner, a Sansui TU517, it is evident how poor the sound quality is. The sansui is actually one of the best tuners ever made, even though it is nearly 30 years old. Still, you can usually get one for less than this thing these days. A main problem with this product is that it doesn't respond well to high frequencies. There is a muffled and dull sound all around. A few highs are present, but not many. Other than that, the tuner works fine, it has a nice big LCD display that is easy to read, easy to operate, it picks up stations, but it does have a terrible sound quality, so I cannot recommend it to anyone who focuses on sound quality. I will be able to use it for my multi-user I might use it as part of the room system, but it would never replace the tuner on my high-end.

This is a great HD tuner at an affordable price! The new Ibiquity Digital broadcasting system is being used in this tuner, the first affordable version on the market to use it. Local FM and AM stations will now be able to broadcast a digital signal along with their analog transmission. A couple of problems with long-distance transmission are fixed through digital transmission The reception problem has been ongoing for some time now. On FM, there is "multipath" distortion, while on AM, there is "static" and noise. A stereo AM broadcast is possible with this system as well. Additionally, other information such as song titles and artists can be transmitted, as well as secondary channels. See the Ibiqitys website for more information about this system. For example, in the Portland area there are 12 FM stations and 2 AM stations that already transmit in HD digital, and nine FM stations transmit a (for now, commercial-free) If you want to know which stations are broadcasting in digital in your area, go to the Ibiquity website. As of late, there is a HD station in Eugene (just over 100 miles away) that I receive about 80% of the time in HD i) is the FIRST nontraditionally formed group A station broadcasting in HD in Portland, It has been almost a year since I purchased the Boston Acoustics "receptor" table model. I could have happily used my table radio to listen to music, but I wanted to connect my listening system to my radio. HDT is the HDT In this case, 1 is the best choice. Although this tuner is very selective and sensitive, remember that the power of the HD FM transmission on this frequency is less than one-tenth the power of its host frequency. Therefore, you need both a sensitive tuner and a suitable antenna if you want to receive An HDT in Sangean- In addition to HD signals, there are also secondary channels that the tuner can decode. In the beginning, when a station is selected, the normal analog signal is heard for a few seconds, until the digital "buffer" is full. It is often quite dramatic when the radio is switched over to digital. While the AM reception on this receptor isn't as good as it could be, it is no worse than the AM reception on the BA receptor in my opinion. It is possible to improve this by adding an external antenna. The AM reception could be slightly better, so I would consider upgrading to version I give this rating 5 stars. The HDT-600 is not only capable of AMHD Stereo, but it also possesses HDT-600 HDT-300 The old analog Motorola C-series does seem to work with 1 The American Morning, 1450 AM).
