Questions & Answers

What is the European compatibility of the Garmin nuvi 465T?

If you want the maps for Europe, you may have to purchase them, but I can tell you that it works well in the U.S.

Does the preloaded software have the most recent update? What software version is preloaded into the system?

I made this purchase a very long time ago. A GPS nowadays is an unnecessary purchase since you can access it via your smartphone free of charge

How does it work? Do you need a memory card or a SIM ?

There's a SD card slot on the GPS that lets you expand the memory. My 2017 model comes with a SD memory card, and the one I'm selling already has a 2017 memory card. Currently, 10 maps are available (the latest

Hey, do you have any updates on this? Would I be able to change it that way if it did? What a great group of guys? Thanks! ?

It depends if you want maps or system updates. If you didn't get lifetime maps, you can purchase maps online, but you can update the system by going online. Please click here

Selected User Reviews For Garmin nuvi 465/465T 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Trucking GPS Navigator (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

If you are a commercial driver and are not going to need the video camera option found in the newer versions of this product, then the 465T is the perfect device for you
5/5

It has many add on features and applications that make life easier such as allowing you to enter dimensions of your vehicle to ensure low clearance events do not occur. Although it is not a good idea to have a sunroof as long as your trailer when operating an enclosed van, there are a few unfortunate people who make that discovery Safety camera subscriptions are much more helpful than sharp turn alerts, which four wheelers will never understand - they are the only helpful things that four wheelers may need. It is very helpful for both owner operators and company drivers to sign up for a subscription through a national truck service provider, as it provides access to repair centers, dunnage recycling, and refueling locations. No matter where you work, this unit is a great fit for the price and options available whether you are working on national, regional, or local projects. This can also be used as a secondary unit or backup if you need to assist EMS in reporting an accident location even if the latest version is already installed. Despite the purchase date being over two years ago, I am satisfied with this unit.

After 4 years, it is still in use
3/5

After I got my CDL, I bought this GPS because it was the company I was working for, a food delivery company, that paid about five dollars a day for this GPS The number of stops per night is 10. He would send us out with a GPS device in our cars. It is always your responsibility to read all the warning signs and such, but this GPS seems to have done pretty well so far. Even though it has put me in some places I shouldn't have been, I'd say that at least 85% of the time it will get you where you need to be. Attempting to replace a good map or sound directions is still not 100% successful. Most of the time I use this to plan routes. The streets of NYC can be a little nerve wracking. I have walked through Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Manhattan at night (48ft aerial). For long island, etc. , the app does not truly replace a good map or a good set of This works pretty well all in all. If you don't already own one, please invest in an extra power cord. I have gone through 2 of them already. Despite being thrown around so much, the unit spends most of its time on the windshield, where it has been exposed to.

The thing I hate is the thing I love
3/5

In all honesty, if I listed all the pros and cons of this GPS, it would probably be Despite the fact that I hate and love it, it is one of those GPS units. While there are times when I want to replace it, I find it easy to use, has great functions, and is very reliable. My favorite thing about it is that it alerts me when weigh stations are Despite its small size, the display is still a problem. #lifehack I have been driving for years now, and I have learned being organized is rather difficult when you are in a small cabin. (I hung it behind my seat and used the pockets to organize my things. I bought one of those shoe organizers that hang on the back of doors.

I regret making that purchase! I bought this product from Amazon and it was filled by J & J After purchasing and receiving the unit we had two replacements and now the third one has died
3/5

Everything went smoothly at first, but since 2/2010 we have experienced two more replacements. I & J Although R asked for a review of the device, when it was negative, they did not post it on their website. I have no issues with the device's features or functionality, I just have another Garmin that I keep going Whenever you see something like "if route can not be calculated" or "no routes from starting point" you should be aware the unit is about to become useless or die altogether, and this will be marked with a white flash, GARMIN on the screen, and then another flash.

It is really strange that I have three of the same units with the same issues, and they do not seem to be discussed that much online. This is really strange. In my view, the entire model has problems, and I intend to send Garmin a refund request because I am fed up with throwing good money after bad on shipping and insurance in addition to the inconvenience of updating the information and reentering it. And so on.

It has its advantages and disadvantages, but it also saves lives when you need it most
5/5

You should be careful as a beginner. Here is a gps you can use to navigate. There is a possibility that this GPS can lead you into a low clearance and cut your roof top. Often with this car navigation service, it can direct you into a road where there is a strict no-trucks-over-this-weight sign, even if you programmed it with your trucks' In addition, this GPS is great when it comes to making local deliveries, such as in New York City, Bronx, and Long Island. Using the app, you will be directed to all of the local routes and any tickets won't be issued. You will not be taken onto parkways where trucks are not allowed. Especially if you're a beginner, this is a must-have GPS, but be careful because it can lead to Due to the fact I did not have to look at a map every time I stopped, I was able to maintain my job and be productive. I have saved myself tremendous amounts of frustration with all the chaos in NYC with the crazy truck routes, parkways, police, crazy drivers, etc. The GPS was my salvation as far as finding my way around the city.

I have a 465T for my truck
3/5

Four years later, I have another 1 failure was due to my error, the other to problems with updating the The only two were not my fault, though they stopped working and iced up and could not be reactivated. The first had been While input touch key strokes are occurring, the unit will pause and be left It is very old technology, and it requires a lot of pressure rather than the sensitivity found in modern smartphones. Besides being used in my motor home and in the car, I also use it in the house. I continue to use the 465 in the sense of truck for that reason. Sometimes, the unit can help avoid situations where a bus is not able to move or stop. It cannot be relied upon because the data is outdated and can only occasionally be useful.

The last thing you want to do when you are backing up your truck or breaking a tire
3/5

Due to Garmin having already discontinued the product line, this is coming too late. For a car, the 465T has decent maps, but for truck GPS it lacks greatly, tracking you to every low bridge in the country, not fun backing up your semi in traffic or taking forever to turn around. It also doesn't understand that a semi is 48 inches long. It will tell you to turn in an impossible way if you are 53' away. After you make your lane change, the computer will tell you to get in another lane. However, after you return to the lane you were in, it will tell you to get in the lane you were in just before you made Don't get one of these models if you're thinking about getting one! Instead of wasting your money on a cheap GPS, invest in a real one.
