Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use it to find public transportation?

Yes. There is some information available. However, it is not as practical as Google Maps.

Is it possible to use an SD card, and if so, where does the card go if there isn't a slot for it?

Yes, there's a slot for the micro-USB cable where the power plug is. Thank you for the SD card.

Is this a LIVE traffic site?

There are two cords in total. On one of the cords, there is an inline traffic sensor as well as a 12v charger plug. The other cord is USB, but it lacks the traffic sensor inline. As a result, if you power the device with a USB cable, traffic will not work.

Is it necessary to connect it to a computer in order to update the maps?

Yes, but unlike previous models, it does not necessitate the installation of a computer update program. Any computer, I believe, should suffice. It isn't necessary for it to be your own.

The TomTom update service is not working
3/5

This is my second Tomtom, and I'm quite pleased with it. Both have a nice display and are simple to operate. I'd give them five stars if I could, but I'm switching to something else right now. I'm unable to update my Tomtom navigation system. I've gone through every user forum and Tomtom's site help with no relief, and I have to remove and reinstall the driver every time I want to update the maps, as well as remove and update the connection software, MyDrive Connect. This one included maps for the rest of your life. The mounting system is difficult; the suction part is an integral part of the device, and you must un-suction it before taking it into the house to connect to the computer. stick it. It takes a lot of tries to get it to stick to the windshield once more. My old one had come loose from its mounting bracket, making it simple to update and program.

Until recent problems, I liked this one better than a few others I had
3/5

As a second part-time job, I drive a car service and limo for a living. I use navigation on a regular basis and am not a casual user, so I look for all of the tiniest details available. I pay attention to the features and whether they are useful and time-saving, as well as the accuracy of the instructions from point A to point B, which is especially important when working with customers. I've decided that this is by far the best one I've tried so far. For a while, I was using an older Garmin, but then I upgraded to the TomTom XL 3. I was 5 when I got that one, and I'd had it for about 3 years. 5 years. I liked it and had no problems with it until the power button broke, which was understandable after three years, but now that I have upgraded to the VIA 1505 TM with unlimited traffic and maps, as well as other features that I will describe in greater detail, I am sold. It's a fantastic navigation system that includes everything you'll need to complete the task. Some of the new features from the previous model that I find useful. br>br>Aside from the obvious larger screen, here's what I like about it in addition to what I already had. Advantages: br>br>
1. Not only on the highway, but also in the city and on the streets, it has speed limits. This is a wonderful and practical feature.
2. The address accuracy has improved, and you can now see whether the house or building is on the right or left. When you're searching in the dark for something you've never seen before, this is extremely helpful.
3. The screen size is the same as the XXL 5 inch navigation, but it is smaller, lighter, and thinner.
4. The traffic information is up to date and accurate to the minute. It is absolutely fantastic, as I have tested and tried it.
5. It doesn't lose signal inside tunnels or over long overpasses, which is probably the best feature they've improved. It walks you through everything that needs to be done. It also finds the signal faster than previous models, including the XXL 5 inch model, when turned on. Via is well-versed in the latest technological developments.
6. While you're driving, it warns you and suggests a faster alternative route. It's up to you whether you use it or not, but it's a great way to make a decision because it eliminates the guesswork from the formula and also calculates traffic, makes recommendations, and displays incident explanations. The features are fantastic.
7. I'm not familiar with this feature yet, but I believe it will be useful in the future. It will notify you if there are any traffic cameras nearby. I'm not sure if it's accurate or not yet, but I'll look into it more when I need to use it again for work. It is, however, present and appears to be a useful little bonus. The only Negative: br>br> They attached the attachment clamp to the navigation, and I see a couple of issues here.
1. If the clamp breaks, you won't be able to attach the navigation, and you'll have to replace the entire unit to replace the clamp.
2. Every time I want to remove it so that it isn't visible to prying eyes and stolen, I have to remove the entire unit and then reattach it to the windshield with a suction clamp. It wasn't a huge deal, but I liked being able to snap the navigation in and out without having to remove the suction unit from the glass. br>br>Minuses have been revised and changes have been made to this review: br>After a few months of using this navigation, I've discovered a few issues. There are significant issues. I'm not sure if it's the 9. 0 upgrade. The issue isn't with the software or the VIA model; it's with the problem. When I turned off the unit, I noticed that I was losing signal. After the system was turned off, it became increasingly difficult to locate the signal. I decided to update the unit with the most recent TomTom recommendations, and now, in addition to the various times it takes to find the signal, the system loses the signal every few minutes. My previous pluses are slowly fading, and if the company has a suggestion or a way to fix this, I will update this review, but at this point, I would not recommend this as highly as I originally did. As I mentioned, it could not be the VIA model or it could only be the VIA model, but I did not have this specific and very serious problem with any of the XL and XXL models. br>br>Overall, I'm very pleased, and I'm even happier that I got this model instead of the XXL model by accident. I bought it because VIA was a newer model, but I'm glad I did.

The investigation is still underway
4/5

Today I received the 1505TM in the mail. I like that TomTom included a car charger (which also serves as a traffic receiver) and a USB cable in the box. Only a car charger came with my previous Garmin (.
