Once the unit is mounted to the vehicle and the phone or tablet holder is in place, it takes on a new appearance. My personal viewpoint is that Built with great care and attention to detail.
The long ball refers to the RZR S model, which has a dash that protrudes further. If you don't have a RZR S model, either one will suffice. You'll need a tablet holder for your device that allows you to attach a 1′′ ram ball to the back, such as one from Ram, Griffin, or Otterbox. This, combined with the RAM mounts double socket arm, makes for the best iPad mount for a Polaris RZR. It can be mounted in portrait or landscape mode, and it is easily visible and reachable by the driver. It's also a good spot for the 12V plug-in. In the 2019 model, there is a charging port. br>br>I'm very pleased with the construction quality. Even over rough terrain, it doesn't sway or rattle. This is something I'm glad I purchased.
I found conflicting information on whether or not these are compatible with the S models. It fit my 2016 RZR S 1000, which is great news! Now I have a tablet with GIA maps running on it that is securely mounted.
However, when I bought an iPad vehicle dock from Ram Mounts, it didn't come with the plate that holds the ball in the holder. br>br>As a result, in order to keep the mounts from popping off the ball in this application, I'll have to make my own lock down bracket. Just keep that in mind if you're looking to purchase one.
It's rock solid, and it eliminates the slop in the handle. Without a doubt, it was well worth the money. If the need arises, I would purchase again.
