It sounds like there is either a power quality issue from the generator or it's running at a high load. The UPS's are acting It has also caused me problems with the model turning itself off in similar circumstances.

As of July 2020, we are the owners of this property. We are now in July 2021, and the unit is no longer functioning. During power outages, the power will not stay We have had two rack mount UPS units from Tripp Lite fail to operate. There has never been a malfunction on any of the many APC units we have. Each few years we need to replace the batteries, but the machine keeps on working. As for the Tripp Light tech support, I will say that they have great customer service, and they honor their warranties. Upon basic troubleshooting with support, I was able to obtain an RMA and have them send a replacement device. In the meantime, I was able to have the RMA processed with a replacement device while waiting 7 to 10 days. Our rack of switches have no battery backup, so we have to wait 10 days for the new switches to arrive.
I used to use this for a Dell r610 when I owned The battery backup now essentially acts as a backup power supply for my modem and WiFi I am happy with the purchase in general. This system keeps the server from crashing during shorter outages, so I don't have to worry about it. Because it has little power it is able to keep the internet running during long power outages, e. g. , this power has been out for over an hour.
If you want, you can do so here. So far I haven't been able to test it, but if it doesn't catch on fire or break in the next year, then this review should stay the same.
In my opinion, the dedicated rack is the best place for locating network devices in a nice house or small office, to protect my equipment, give to me a little extra time when the power is out, and normally the power returns fast enough for Internet access to be available. In addition, I have set up a special setup to control the access time for my kids in my house. They can't touch anything in the 6U rack enclosure because it is tripp lite. There are a few that have started randomly shutting down, and so far there are two that have done this. A battery in one of them lasted 3 months and then the power would go out with any interruption in power. In the other there is no rhyme or reason to it. There are now 5 times per week when it goes down. It is only running one device (one is an unmanaged 16-port switch and one is a SonicWall) so the load is not a concern. Ten years ago, I purchased an APC rack mount that is still in perfect working order. APC seems like a good choice for me. The longevity of the product is not impressive.
I couldn't wait for the power company to test it as soon as I installed I was impressed with how well it worked. A small network rack that includes an Ubiquiti switch and a Ubiquiti gateway (replacing the Ubiquiti gateway with a PF sense gateway) is powered by it. As well as powering the cable modem and the starlink rig, it runs a cable modem. It was a power surge that took out whatever is upstream of the cable modem, so I'm moving it to my surge suppressor. The Starlink system kept chugging along as usual As long as the battery is charged, it stays on the backup side of things. It's very nice to continue working while the power is out. I lost power for 15 minutes without power, dropped it again and got it back, then lost it again for about 10 hours. It was good to have done a graceful shutdown after 15 minutes without power.
The unit operated as advertised for approximately nine months but has ceased to function. During the 5 months that I had it, I had it fixed The server rack is at 72 degrees constant, the Mac Mini, the AV receiver, the router, and a small network switch are also there. The light was out when I woke up this morning. After I checked that the outlets were working properly, I pressed the power button on the UPS and heard a loud electrical SPLOP, smoke, and frying sounds. As soon as I unplugged, I disconnected. I doubt that another one of these will live up to the 2 year warranty and I'm hesitant to trust another one.
Whenever I am not using it, I charge my phone every three months and keep it in an Anvil rack so that it continues to work When sensitive electronic equipment is used at various orphaned locations, where the power supply is not always ideal, I find it's extremely important to protect it. In an emergency, as well as if there is a power outage, it's great to have a limited electricity source to charge a cell phone.
