typical. USB, Thunderbolt, or whatever name you want to give it, they all seem to work for about three months before they stop working for one or more devices. Firewire, on the other hand, is designed to last a long time. The only reason I bought this was so I wouldn't have to swap cables on my other three. My CD/DVD burner, as well as a 5" external HDD.

Before it shipped, I changed it to black because the construction looked better and it was well made. I use it to connect a legacy digital music interface to a newer computer, and it works great. I haven't tried using the thunderbolt port with my T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile T-Mobile This part does not yet have a B to FW 800 adapter, but it appears to be in good working order.

When I tried to connect my Mac Pro to my Tascam interface, the cable did not work. The same thing happened when I tried it on my Mac g5. I was able to connect the original fw400 cable to the g5 without issue. (If you have a FW400, you can use it. ) On the g5, there is an 800 port. I would not recommend this product.
