Thank you for inquiring, dear customer. Because of the monitors' limitations, the resolution will usually be lower when two displays are connected at the same time. If you use this displayport cable to connect only one display, the resolution should improve. So far, everything has gone well. This is my first time using a DisplayPort device. I bought this to connect my Dell desktop PC (with a newly installed Geforce GT 1030 video card) to my new LG monitor, which only has HDMI and DisplayPort. I read another review that suggested getting a different cable with locks, but after installing this cable, I don't have any concerns about a loose connection. I had to give it a good push to get the cable into the slot, and I even heard a satisfying "click" as it slid in.
The braiding is of good quality, and the cable itself is excellent. My issue is that the cable does not fully plug into my video card where it meets my PCI Bracket on my case; either the connector enclosure or the connector itself needs to be a little longer.
The cable appears to be of good quality. The issue with display port cables in general is that they do not fit tightly and will disconnect if moved around. This type of display port cable should not be purchased; instead, opt for the type that has a pushbutton lock. I ordered a different set of cables (dual monitors) and they've stayed connected flawlessly.
VESA cables are cables that attach to the back of a television. This is NOT a VESA-compliant monitor; I had to restart my PC to get any image, then games would black screen, and so on. I knew it was certified cable when I bought it, but I figured I could get away with the cheaper product and be fine, which was not the case. Purchase a VESA-compliant display port cable for yourself. authorized; They're not too pricey and will save you a lot of time and aggravation. My VESA- In comparison, cert. cable functioned immediately.
I bought three of these to connect monitors to my computer, but two of them died after being pulled from the bags. Nothing worked after I tried all of the typical monitor detection fixes (the monitors were also brand new). I moved the one working screen around to various video card ports, and it was always picked up. I dug up a spare display port cable, and poof, picture. br>br>So, no, I'm not interested in these. They may appear attractive, but they are of no use to anyone if they do not function. Get something better right away to avoid the disappointment and downtime. Also, as I've seen mentioned elsewhere, the only refresh rate option I had with the one good cable was 60hz @1080p, so despite the advertised specs, YMMV.
Although this is a flashy product, it does not work with my Asus monitor. Fortunately, I was able to find a replacement on Newegg, and it works perfectly. This is a flashy, attractive product that falls short on its promises. Unfortunately, it will be thrown away. This won't work if the refresh rate is higher than 60 Hz.
This is a very thick cable. However, it does the job, which is all I ask of a product, and the color isn't particularly appealing. Grey? Why did you choose grey out of all the colors? There has to be that one grey boi among all the black cables coming in and out of my monitors. However, this is a product that I would recommend.
I was initially skeptical of this cable due to its low price, but once it arrived and I connected it to my monitor and computer, I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Because my monitor is only a 1080P display, I receive full support for 165Hz @1080P. There are no problems with random disconnects when I adjust the monitor's tilt or pivot (unless the cable snags on the monitor mount and pulls directly on the connector). br>The cable's build quality appears to be excellent. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a DP cable who does not want to spend a small fortune on something that can do the same job as major name brand cables.
