Questions & Answers

Can you tell me why the reviews on this cable are fake? Can you tell me why this cable is not designed well?

The issue was not an issue for me

Do you have plenum ratings for this device?

The answer is no, it's not anything under $180 There are 1000 feet in 240 inches, so 240 is not considered plenum

The cable I'm using is giving me problems. A few POE IP cameras need to be wired. If the cable is shorter than 15", then it should work, but if it is longer, it will ?

I am having the same problem as you! In my testing, I used a short cable such as 15 or 20 feet and the camera worked perfectly. I designed a 70 foot cable and it works fine, but the night vision doesn't run. The problem was initially not with the camera, so I bought a replacement and the problem persisted. My camera worked fine with a shorter cable I made, with a premake cable from another company that is 6 feet long and with a cable I had made recently that was 20 feet long. I also did a bunch of testing with the previous camera using short cables, which also worked. In contrast, night vision is not supported by 70 feet. So much so that I reset my NVR as well.

The longest length for PEE IP cams that we recommend or shouldn't exceed is what?

Thanks for your question. Hello and thanks for contacting me. If PoE is to be used over a long distance, Cat6 is best. In addition to the ability to transmit basic network signaling to 328 feet, Cat5e can also conduct PoE up to 150 feet, but because the conductors are thin, we recommend keeping PoE installations to 150 feet or less for optimum In some cases, Cat5e works well with PoE over long distances. This can, however, depend on how the camera will be powered, and the DC voltage it will be powered at. If you intend to run back and forth up to 328 feet and for devices requiring up to 90 watts, Cat6 is your best choice.

Here's an update The cable has to be at least 60 feet long to work
5/5

These wires were used to build 3 cables for my IP camera. The cables that are less than 30 feet or shorter work fine. The cable that is 60 feet or longer does not Due to the low quality of the link, I am unable to connect to the camera. It only replies to me 25 to 50% of the time when I ping it. This issue is not caused by my camera, because I tested it with two different models and both behaved the same way. You should not purchase this cable if you plan to run a long network cable. I've updated to 5 stars.

Updated to 5 stars for 5/6/19. There is a reason why the cable does not work for 60 feet. Unfortunately, I accidentally used only half of the twisted green wire for the network, and the other half for DC power. This is why there was too much noise on the network and hence most of the pings were lost. In my new configuration, I used twisted orange and green wire for ethernet and brown and blue for power, and my IP camera is working correctly.

This isn't the best place to install a camera
3/5

If you're going to use this for IP cameras, do not waste your money. A constant loss of signal will occur. Currently, I am using it on 3 cameras, and I have to call my customer to get 250 feet replaced. This is not something that I will purchase for my business. It is my hope that this helps you install IP. The cable I purchased to replace the old ones in my office is being used in the remodel I am doing this month. It's not a good idea. When I close walls, I check my network if it is intact. The cable I have won't pass 100baseT, and I have to replace every cable. I have 1Gbps internet. The renovations I need to do are behind me. The cable I have isn't clear as to where or when it should be used. (I guess for stuff under 1000 Gbps only).

Cable - a piece of junk The spool kinks and twists continually even when the payout is enabled
3/5

My experience with CAT5 is the worst I have ever had. Whenever we would pull a length of cable from the payout box, it would constantly kink back up on itself. I thought it was trying to kill itself. Strange thing. There would be a clean-looking length of cable, but when you go to inspect it, there would be a kink that would be catastrophic to the conductivity of the cable. I found out that there was an issue after we had run about 800 feet of this stuff. As we tore it and the other box away, we pulled all of it out. A stranger fact is that this only happened when the cable was red in color. There was nothing wrong with the green -- There was a consistent pattern across boxes, but I'm not sure why one color would do that and the other wouldn't. It wouldn't be a good recommendation to use this cable. The only way I could give it zero stars is if they.

I believe that as long as you do IT in almost any capacity, you can use this product at home or at your workplace
5/5

This cable is of middle-range quality, so it is not likely to experience problems similar to those of Thousands of feet have been covered by this brand and I can't think of nothing bad about it. It comes in an assortment of colors for your network to be organized appropriately.

This product seems high quality and as advertised
5/5

My last time shopping for cable was pretty expensive, and I had to pay way too much for it. There's no such thing as that. This is good cable because I've run miles and miles of cable and crimped tens of thousands of RJ45 ends to it. I know what good cable is so I recommend this To properly color code my nerdy home network, I'll probably order the same kind of cable but in different colors.

I used this for office wiring and it worked well
5/5

In order to accomplish your purpose, this box should be able to provide you with Cat5e cable at an affordable price. It has been no trouble for me to wire new office space with multiple boxes at work. With new technology coming down the pipeline, you might find that Cat6 wire is a better alternative, even if it is a little more expensive. If you need this cable on a budget, however, then Cat5e is a good option. The quality of the cable is comparable to that of some of the cheaper options.

This CAT5e cable is great! In the past 3 years, I've purchased 9 boxes of 1,000 feet of this cable, and I've used it in a variety of applications
5/5

There is no better CAT5e cable than this. The cable comes out of the box very smoothly, pulls through attics and walls easily, and is strong enough to withstand a lot of hard (almost too hard) pulling and pulling without damaging the cable. It has become a staple of my arsenal For CAT5e installations, cable is needed.
