You should know what this will do before using it

You may find it a bit confusing when setting up your HDS system, if you are not familiar with how the Their network system is basically composed of three parts. The Ethernet cable (for which this cable is used) is a high-speed network Communications system with points of contact. The NMEA2000 bus system is a medium speed bus. In NMEA0183, a low speed point-to-point-transmitter is used. Communications system with points of contact. There are no shared trails and any non-trivial part of a trail is considered illegal It is not possible to share system settings (like text size). The chart is an individual unit item, however, and the chart is not shared with any system on the network. It is recommended that if you only wish to share limited waypoint information, such as the ability to add waypoints but not delete, edit, or move them, to use the NMEA2000 bus system. On an Ethernet network, you can only have a maximum of three HDS displays. The NMEA2000 standard allows up to 50 devices or HDS displays on a single It should be a piece of cake setting it up the way you like.

I was able to share charts, transducers, and waypoints with others

The Ethernet cable is crucial if you have more than one Simrad or Lowrance with Ethernet connectivity. Sharing charts, transducer information, and many other settings between different units is a simple matter. In addition to Radar units, you can connect other types of equipment with it.
