A 12-pack of Tripp Lite This is a five port wallmount patch panel
5/5

During the installation of my patch panel, I ordered this item on the internet. Each room in the house is wired with cat5e by a wiring contractor I hired. We brought the cables down to the basement, where they were all organized into a single location. My cable terminations were terminated to this patch panel, which I mounted on the wall. I love how clean the installation is and how well it works. When you're using 12 ports or less at home, it's definitely worth the investment.

A good patch panel for the money
4/5

In addition to my expertise in IT, I own a small business that specializes in IT support and services tailored to small business and residential clients alike. Despite coming in a small white box with not much insulation, this patch panel appears to be in good condition. There are some basic instructions, which might make the video confusing for a non professional. It was empty when I removed the wall mount bracket and emptied the contents of the box. As a result, I was able to secure the bracket to the backer board. Once this was completed, I was able to snap the patch panel onto the bracket and begin punching it These labels are flimsy and do not adhere well, therefore they move around as they are in place on the back of the patch panel. In the end, I was able to terminate each of the jacks without any problems.
This is not a high-end patch panel, I must admit. There isn't a high level of quality when compared to other brands, but it seems to work well. As most of this panel is made from plastic, it feels cheap, and has a flimsy feel. I would say that if you're looking to save money and get a patch panel that works, this is the product to get.

There is something wrong with the When I wired my home about 20 years ago, I didn't use a punchdown block because I wasn't sure what I was doing
3/5

As I have been in networking for a number of years, I decided to do it right this time. An attempt to use this block has been made. There is a mistake in labeling the four blocks on the left 1, 2, 3, 4. In the end, I tested the path cables with my wire shark tool and they were fine. I also tried flipping the blocks around and using both a and b methods. There was nothing that aided me in finding the correct pin. The brand I have been using has gone bad. I'll try a new.

Small projects or spaces where a rack patch panel isn't suitable are easily installed with this patch These are pretty awesome for wiring jobs requiring a smaller amount of patching or jobs where it's not practical to install a patch panel rack mount
5/5

If you plan to do this, you'll need to understand the basics of operation of a punch tool, as well as how to wire it, and should be able to test it when you have finished. It uses a 66 block wall mount as standard. The plastic wall mount snaps into place and then the patch panel itself is screwed into it. There are no messy connectors, no tangles, and you can easily punch all your wires with this panel because you can unclip it from the wall mount, flip it over, and snap it on upside down. After flipping it over, just flip it back over! Aside from that, it passed with flying colors during testing! The ports on these are punched on 20 of the three I bought. There was a wiring project I had to do that required everything to fit into a small cabinet and a rack would not have worked. My test runs were completed with Cat6 500mhz wire on one side and Cat5e keystones on the other. I received better speeds than Cat6 with every test. The one I missed is fixed now, and I'll fix the new one. The punches began!

I've used this style before, but I prefer this one. Those with the 66 block mount will have a lock on the 66 block, while those without will not. Thankfully, there's a Tripp Lite version that does exactly that and it functions perfectly. Three Tripp Lite cat5es and one cat6 were bought in July 2015, and two of them in June of 2014, respectively. I have installed a lot of patch panels from Tripp Lite and have never had a problem.

This patch panel is good
5/5

This product does what it claims. I really like this. It was originally supposed to mount inside my Leviton media box, but I decided to mount it above the box and run the cable into the box after reading multiple reviews. There was a concern that once installed, the Cat5 plugs would stick out too far to be able to close the Media Cabinet door. In my experience, I think it would fit if the Cat5 cable was bent down a tiny bit after installation. But I don't know for sure since I didn't bend it. Having the ability to reverse the panel to expose the back side to punch down incoming Cat5 is a great feature. Over time as you add cable, it becomes more difficult to flip over the Panel, since the Cat5 patch cables are attached to the other side. You could remove the patch cables, and attach them again, but that is hard if other family members are watching TV, browsing the internet, etc. Once they are cut off, they are done. There is nothing wrong with the panel, it is just a planning issue. The product does what it says it will. To build your own patch panel, if you're doing it at home and on a budget, you may be able to make it with an electrical box, plug-in keystone faceplate, and keystone punch down jack. ran the Cat5 cable in the closet of my upstairs because it was difficult to run multiple Cat5 cables in In the upper floor I installed keystone jacks into the wall in the supply area and ran a single cable to connect to the wireless bridge/access point. From there, I ran 3 additional lines to the other rooms. In this way, I am able to accomplish my goals. I have none It consists of I really like the Patch Panel, none the less.

The labels are easy to install and label, and the quality is good
5/5

Patch panels like this are hard to come by at such a good price. Wire management brackets are provided as a bonus, and the layout makes punch down and assembling fairly straightforward. It is normally a pain for me to keep little plastic freebie cable managers and I usually discard them, but these This is the first rack I've built with seven of these. The mistake I made was - I did punch a few, but I did it on purpose. It would be nice if each port were clearly marked on the back since one set of blocks runs right into the next so it is easy to miss them if you don't pay attention. This is a wire-based service Despite this, I probably only missed four or five of the 24 x 7 problems and they were all easy to fix.

Block with a variety of mounting options
5/5

I'm not going to say much about patch panels, but it was really excellent how they got to the back of one of them. During installation you will be required to- Once mounted, you can then either turn it face forward or face backward. What's the reason? You can flip it over with the back facing out and create a sturdy work surface that you can use to punch down. Once you are finished flipping it over and connecting your patch cables.
