My description of it didn't mention it and I didn't know it existed
Selected User Reviews For Five Star Cable Cat5e 1000 Ft 24AWG UTP 4 Twisted Pair Ethernet LAN Cable Wire Pull Box - White Color
From the very beginning, this product fails. There is really only one requirement for bulk Cat5E cable (besides meeting the Cat5E system requirements, which this one here also fails to do, since it is made up mostly of aluminum wire) - and that is to be able to conduct electricity. The cable needs to be easy to pull. There is nothing good about this cable The cable is constantly twisted and kinked. As I started pulling it, I was only able to go about 10' at a time. The cable here is utterly useless in comparison with the box of General Cable Cat5E cable I just emptied (which pulls wonderfully). It took me about 50' to pull 50'+ at a time via the same path with the General Cable (see photos There is going to be a return for this box.
I have worked with cables that technically meet the CAT5e standards but, in general, it is amongst the lower grades of cables I have Since the outer PVC jacket is so thin, the cable can easily kink as soon as it is taken from For residential wire-ups, it will probably work out fine. If you're doing commercial grade work or setting up cables in any location that will be under any degree of wear and tear, spend a bit more and get a better.
CCA, as a lot of the reviews say. The only time I would use it for POE is for dedicated, and while it won't reach C5E speeds, it does a pretty As for my network cameras, it does an excellent job. I bought this with the expectation that I would use it to view my network cameras. Additionally, I have used it on a few 100 megabyte devices around the house (multimedia players, printers, etc. ) It clearly works on those too. Putting the cable ends on has not been a problem for me. It appears that some had issues doing so. I am not sure what they did, but I have found it to be a simple process. Because it is somewhat rigid, be careful when snaking it up walls. It is easy to snag and become Nevertheless, it still worked well (even though there were a few kinks in it)
Is it a high-quality cable, no. Is it a It would be worth using it again with low-end devices, I would say. - I wouldn't use it for a cluster or high availability network.
It took me a while to realize this was CCA, so I rushed past it. Cat 5e standards are not met by this product because it is not pure copper. The tensile strength of CCA is lower, and it is more resistant to internal pressure, as well as being brittle with.
It was mentioned in some reviews that it includes 25 ends, but I wasn't aware of that, so that, along with the fact that the ends were pass through, really brought together the whole purchase, since I also ordered a pass through crimper.
It seems as if it would break from a hard kink and from flexes when the rope is tight. I haven't tested it with any kinks, or any tight stretches. -Copper clad aluminum so you know what you will receive, but I was surprised to discover it was so fragile. -It is clearly labeled and with a clear description. Both wire runs and small breadboard wires can be stripped using it, and your fingernails are the best tool for doing the job. It is very easy to remove the insulation from the wire, and any scratch or nick made by using a regular wire stripper will produce a weak spot on the wire immediately that will ultimately break. Avoid using a wire stripper at all costs. Whenever you want to use ethernet cable for a long run, use a rip cord on the inside, or just a wire clipper to cleanly cut back the outer insulation If any inner wires become nicked, it is not a good idea to attempt to cut the outer sheath by circling wire stripping motions . Line up the rj45 adapter by gently unlocking and unwinding it. As of now, I've had good luck with no major flexes. Wires that are bent too much are more likely to break.
MAKE SURE NOT TO. This country is VERY british. - BE CAREFUL NOT TO bend the wire's tips. This is indeed being used for launching bullets in CCTV video, but be sure you do not use it for other purposes than its intended one. However, I am not sure for sure, but RJ45 ends with CAT would probably work fine.
In short, it's just a basic cat5 cable, but it works as advertised.
