Questions & Answers
Dear customer, a cat 5e ethernet cable can be used to connect a computer to a router (internet box). However, we were unable to guarantee that the cat 5e ethernet ports on the walls would function properly.
This will work perfectly if you are currently using a shorter Ethernet cable. If this is your first time connecting, double-check that the cable is plugged into the correct port on each end. You'll also need an adapter if you don't have one.
It is suitable for use in practice, but not for long-term use. term use. If the exterior has been damaged, it should be replaced as soon as possible.

Cat 5e cable is reliable and reasonably priced; most people will not require Cat 6. If you're not familiar with these terms, know that Cat 5e will suffice unless you need/care about the fastest possible internet and have cables longer than 45 meters. I would recommend Cat 6 or 6a if you ever need cables that long or are using these 5 ft cables in your home electrical setup and want to be future-proofed.
I immediately noticed that the cable sheathing was of poor quality when I received them. It's very easy to ruin it. I knew the wire had to be cheap, but I didn't know how cheap it had to be until recently. I have a 500Mbps fiber connection. In one month, two of these failed in the router-to-fiber modem connection. They are capable of speeds of around 100Mbps, but not 500Mbps. I also bought two CableCreation 10 Feet (5-meter) cables. At the same time, I bought a pack of CAT 5e cables, which were better quality but still on the cheap side; my advice is to find a vendor who consistently sells high-quality cables.
would not function properly right out of the box. If it didn't work, the vendor requested that I send them a video; I'm not sure what they were looking for. Probably just a stalling tactic to avoid any warranty obligations. I went to Walmart and bought a working cable, then threw theirs away. This vendor is not one I would recommend for any reason.
This method is ineffective. I had previously purchased this cable in March 2021, but when I got a puppy in August, she chewed it up. So, in August, I bought the same exact cable, but I didn't need it right away because my cable company's wifi was excellent. I was having wifi issues and tried plugging in this new cable (which was still in its packaging) but it did not work at all. There isn't any link. I was extremely dissatisfied with the standard of the product. And, of course, the return time has passed.
I bought two of these for our fiber internet, which has a 1 GB upload/download speed. It's amazing how much of a difference switching from fiber wireless to fiber wired makes. Although our fiber wireless network is faster than I require for most tasks, using these cables to connect a few of our devices to our fiber hub made a significant difference. With these cables, I was able to get pretty close to the full 1 GB upload/download speeds for fiber that is directly wired into our home.
This cable has made me extremely happy. I used it to hardwire my WiFi extender to my router, and now I'm getting nearly identical speeds at the extender's end of the house versus the router's end of the house. Through the cable, there is very little or no speed loss. I saved a lot of money while still getting the most out of my fiber internet, considering my ISP quoted me $120 to run the cable.
There is no separator in place. The 'cross skeleton structure' shown in the fourth image is not included with this item. Because it separates the four twisted pairs to reduce crosstalk, it's also known as the separator. The same image also shows that it is a solid copper wire, but it is stranded wire, which I didn't expect because it wasn't stated that way. However, as stated, I would anticipate a separator. I gave it two stars because it worked when I connected it. BUT. I had to deduct three stars because it didn't arrive as advertised.
So, what are your thoughts on Ethernet cables? It Works! It's even nice if you like blue. Cable, in my opinion, is cable. The connectors are what distinguishes them. I've had my share of problems with these over the years, so I pay close attention to the connectors. There isn't much else to say about a cable except to remind you that Ethernet cables are manufactured to strict specifications. Before making a purchase, do some research on the subject. The short answer is yes. If you want ten points, For 1000 Mbps coverage, use cat 5e or higher cable.
