Questions & Answers

HDMI 2 support is included in this model. Does it matter if the screen is 4K?

It is BOGAUS, or B to those who prefer it. I like it better than HDMI since it has two display ports. That is NOT the case, my friend. A HDMI connection can transmit high definition AV signals and sound as well. As a result, if you wanted to hook up your computer to your TV, you could do so through the HDMI cable. The type of this that requires only one cord is the easiest. In addition to the DisplayPort, they are also going to offer a "DP" which is their attempt to gain market share over the DisplayPort. We'll have to discuss that at a later time. This is a non-essential component of Display Port Provide a response. This could be VGA (which is what I would guess) or possibly DVI, which was a short lived technology that is difficult to use. hey, im just a person trying to make it in a world full of liars, cheaters, snitches, Don't go there. Go somewhere else instead. It was mea reading the add. I was going to ask a question and then saw this answer and thought "WOW". I am not a hater, but I think it is unfair to take advantage of people by selling them something that is going to cause great disappointment. It is clear that people are trying to find a bargain. If they don't have a lot of money, they look for the best deal they can get. I do the same thing It should not be allowed for anyone to LIE just because they do not know every little detail about every port. What a POSSIBLE LOSER move that would be. The seller may not know, so if that is the case, be honest. Tell your buyers that you just pulled old PCs as pieces and put them together, not knowing or caring whether it will suit their It may or may not be obvious to you, but it is wrong. That's what you do now. Are you a good buyer, or are you a bad buyer? I would like to begin this review by disclaiming the following Having run my own IT company for over 25 years, I've gained a lot of experience in the field
3/5

As well as reselling Dell, Lenovo, and HP, I am a reseller of these companies. Next, let's take a look at To start off with, I would like to say that this machine (Dell 7010) is a very good one. Due to the fact that they are workstations, they came with Windows 7 Pro out of the box. The seller has upgraded the computer (apparently) to Windows 10 Pro, put in a large 2 TB hard drive, and has added 16GB of You seem to be in good shape, don't you? That's not true! Firstly, I would like to say thank you. No information on whether the seller is a licensed and certified Microsoft refurbisher has been provided to me. I believe it is a no, since the COA (Certificate of Authenticity) is stated to be on the inside of the unit on the description sheet that comes with it. There is no such thing as a non-event It is real. This is part of the requirements to become a Microsoft refurbisher. In addition, there is the matter of You do receive 16GB, and the wording does say that it's 16GB, but the program does not In these machines, there are 4 dimm slots available for memory, but only three of them Two of them have a total of four 4GB sticks, and one has an 8GB stick. In other words, this setup won't work and won't allow the machine to post Unfortunately there is no video to accompany this post. behind this is that these machines cannot work with 3 DIMM slots loaded into them as it is considered dual channel mode and all DIMM slots need to be filled (if using more than 2 memory sticks) in order to function In addition, the memory and the three sticks are included as well. It was a different brand for each of them. My external hard drive had Hynix, Crucial, and an unbranded one. to top it off, the 8GB stick also did not A dead animal lay on the ground. Therefore, I am entitled to either one 8GB stick or two 4GB sticks from the seller. In the third place, we have Honestly, I'd give it an A on the exterior, and that would be generous of me. Credit must be given for the way it was packaged. There were no complaints about the exterior, just disgusting interior. Firstly, if you had not been trained to look for the screw, you would have missed the fact that it was loose and might have caused the dead short. Additionally, the amount of dust was huge but no obstacle to the shop vac's ability to clean it up. I would say that the computer does work as a whole. Since I fixed it, it should work fine now. While some may appreciate the installed software that is not needed, it would be better left up to the buyer to install it if they wanted to. Other programs installed include VLC player, Java 8, CCleaner, and Open Office. There were 2 things with the installed software that it should have never been installed, firstly that it came with the computer when it was new, secondly it should never have been installed. It is worth mentioning that this computer has an integrated graphics processor The NVidia graphics driver already came pre-installed with the AMD graphics driver, so there was no need to install both. I think this unit was no where near worth $240, as far as value was concerned. I may be able to halve that on a good day. A business client of mine purchased it for me, and for the price, I thought it was quite a bargain. Despite this, I feel I have been burned in the end. In addition, in my unit, it would not retain the bios settings nor the date and time. In my case, it was a dead CMOS battery and I replaced it with a new one and it worked like a charm. In the event that a one on one professional discussion about this is desirable, I will be pleased to arrange it. However, on the basis of the aforementioned, it is my recommendation for you to look elsewhere if you are looking for a refurb unit.

The Dell Optiplex 7010 is a desktop computer
5/5

In the beginning, I am concerned that since there is a number of 'Certified Refurbished' brokers offering these machines that the listing is rather generic and adaptable. Taking the time to verify the vendor's specifications before placing an order may be worth your effort. It was from Blair Technology Group that I ordered the item. There is no small form factor on this machine, it is a Dell Optiplex 7010 in a desktop enclosure. I can live with that for my purposes, however. With 16 GB of RAM, 2 TB of hard drive, and a dual-core Intel i5, this desktop computer was a beast There are quad cores in the 3470. Earlier versions of Windows 10 were available It was installed on the hard drive, and two USB connected keyboards and mice were included. The keyboard and mouse will sit in a closet collecting dust. In a few moments, I was able to boot up the machine on Win 10 without any issues after I opened the box to verify components. I zipped everything back up, then connected the old 1280 x 1024 HP monitor via the VGA port. My main focus after completing the personalization steps was checking the various hardware components, in particular the I was able to use everything I needed. Having shut off the computer and then turned it back on, I invoked UEFI/BIOS mode, and found that the system was set to 'Legacy' (BIOS mode), which means it's not equipped to support the latest operating system The boot process should be secure. Most people will be able to use this configuration I would recommend this to users who will bring up Windows 10 for their own personal use and do not plan to customize it in any way. In the half-height card slots (there are four in the desktop, "whereas there are only two in the SFF 7010), I installed a GeForce GTX 710 card. Configure the boot device for Ubuntu 16 by connecting both monitors, setting the system to use the UEFI, and configuring the monitors. Installed Ubuntu 16. 04 on a USB drive with the ISO image of Ubuntu 18. 04. As it uses an MBR to boot, it will be lost in the UEFI environment, but will likely be repurposed in time). I have tested this on Ubuntu 16. It functions well. In Windows XP, there are a couple of USB hard drives connected, along with a video card. Having more memory is a big bonus since I run a photo editing application that is written in Javascript (which takes up a lot of memory). In general, I am happy with the result. Right out of the box, this product is easy to use. You can customize it easily.

This is a powerful computer at a great price
5/5

I bought three for the business. We can do this for about half the price of a comparable machine. As of right now, they all are working fine, running FAST, and so far have not encountered any problems. The computers have a ton of USBs on the front and back, and as you can see from the specs, they have 16 GB of RAM and a 2 TB hard drive. That’s a big upgrade from the computers we’re I am thrilled with everything you said. It was a negative experience The keyboard and mouse that came with them were cheaply made, but they are easy to replace if you don't have a good set on hand. Also, the specs claim that these computers come with Windows 7 Pro, but they came with Windows 10 Professional. It seems like they've been down for some time. However, we chose to use them with Win 10 Pro since they were upgradable to Win 7 With the new Windows Key stickers on the cases, activation was no problem. There is only one "extra" program on it, which is Libre Office (FREE opensource version of MS Office), which works fine. So far, we are very pleased with this computer.
