Elgato Video Capture - Digitize Video for Mac, PC or iPad (USB 2.0)

To convert 30 VHS tapes that I have from more than 30 years ago, I bought this. The user interface is simple and straightforward. To install the software, I had to download it. So far, I've used five tapes and I've been able to save at high resolution, but I don't know what other devices that are comparable to this one can do For sharing with family and friends, you can take high-resolution images and upload them to YouTube. This would be good if you have old tapes to convert. As I looked online, it looks like the service charge is around $20 per tape to convert. I recently took care of 5 tapes and am already ahead of the game. The second time. As a tech savvy person, I tried lots of things to get this thing to work but it didn't work (I've tried everything and am still not able to use it). In spite of its insistence that it cannot be recognized, the software persists. I have followed Elgato's help page regarding camera privacy settings in Windows 10 to no avail, as well as uninstalls, restarts, and deleting drivers and letting Windows find them (leads to a page that Elgato's CS lines aren't open during the times I need them to be, so I've contacted them by email. This is a great idea that everyone can use. It's been a week since I purchased the Elgato. There is a need to download both the driver and the software, as others have said. As far as I am concerned, I have done It all worked out I downloaded the software smoothly, and I installed it with no problem. The excitement got to me. A picture does not appear on my computer when I fire it up. Even though I did everything I could, nothing would work The video output on the VCR is I could not get anything to work. We had no problems receiving the "audio" A picture would be nice, but there is none. It was EZ Peezy to send it back to Amazon. As a result, they sent a replacement via "Prime. " I thought that 0 (I pay no cost). As soon as I plugged it in, I was able to use it I have the same problem, but I don't have a picture. That's what I said, what's going on! Several people have praised it immensely, while others have described it as a complete waste of time and money. So, you're probably wondering why 1 is the way it is Instead of 5 stars, give it a 3-star rating Here's what I want you to know. It is as simple as that. Computers with specific issues can use it.
