Questions & Answers

Does the pro HD60 have a different design from the regular HD60?

A PCIe capture card such as the HD60 Pro is designed to fit into a regular expansion slot on your High-quality recordings and low latency are two of its key features. There are two USB ports on the HD60, one at each end. The card connects to your computer via USB and can be used with your laptop or desktop. Though it records in a little lower quality and with a few delays, it is still very useful.

If you have the hdmi out cord, can it be used as a HDMI-to-DVI converter (my monitor does not have HDMI), or is this a separate product?

In principle it would be possible to go with Gpu Please read this A hd60 display with GPU dvi output Please read this You can set up the 2nd monitor as a copy of your main screen (hd60)

The product description can be found on the product page, together with a video. The 4K60 S+ can indeed be plugged into a laptop, as long as it is specifically one item. In the signup form, it says it's compatible with PS4, PS5, XBOX, etc. You can also capture television or monitor screens.

it possible to use an app like OBS to capture game play while playing with the PC? It must be very low latency (about 1 or 2 frames at the ?

Unless you are intending to capture game play from an xbox or playstation or another computer with this card, you shouldn't need it. However, if you are planning to capture game play from another computer or from a pc with OBS then you will need it.

Works only at 144 Hz
3/5

It doesn't work at 240 Hz. On my IMac and OBS I am able to view it. There is a problem. It only works at 60Hz. you are using a 144HZ or 240HZ monitor, you will not be able to have it work through the pass through (verified with Elgato tech support) but their old HD60s could. That's too bad).

I probably use multiple capture cards
3/5

I probably just have a 1080p device. It takes an amateur to become a Having tested the Elgato 4K60 Pro MK I have come to the conclusion that it is a good camera. HDR support and BT2020 colorspace are available on the 2 but it is only a 1080p device. The following are two reasons why I feel this way 1) First, my impression is that the captures of 4K material are very "soft" in comparison with I first thought this was just me, but I think this is a normal occurrence for all. An Avermedia GC573 recorded with 4K captures much sharper video and appears to be of higher quality. It is important to remember that the eyes can deceive. 3) The card is reported as 4K in OBS studio, but its default res seems to be 1080p and this seems to be the information that the card can In OBS, none of my other 4K cards, including the GC 573, report 1280p. *3) Also, you'll notice the card can only work at the maximum speed of 50 Mbps. Presented at a resolution of 2160x24. HEVC level 6 can be captured by the AverMedia at this resolution at speeds of 100 Mbps plus. The perceived visual softness in Elgato captures could also be caused by this factor. That's something to watch out for. Elgato seems to be aiming too high with this product, don't you think?.

You should only approach if you have no other option
3/5

Please note There is rarely a need to do so. Even though I have had this thing for more than a year, I find it hard to use. It creates an enormous amount of delay when plugged in, such that when the computer turns on, the screen takes a longer time to show the signal than usual. The colors seem off to me, even when I turn off the HDMI color variation from their software. The screen with the card on it looks different, washed out, compared to another identical screen, without the card. There was so much work involved with it that I hated it. The other aspect is that you have to deploy the hideous software first, then connect the screens to the card. I mean, yes, I don't really want to record footage in 144Hz, but at least let me have the option to use the card as a pass-through. There are several reasons to remove 1. Those are the three reasons to remove This is a five-star rating. One tenth of a percent. I give the software 5 stars. This is not something I even want to think about. It's the worst software I've ever used. I've had my worst experiences with it ever. This was such a terrible experience. My opinion is that OBS offers a better and more convenient user experience. The bugs are way fewer.

You should read this if you are building a computer from scratch
5/5

I love how it works! It would have been helpful to know that after you install Windows on a fresh PC build, you should not put this into it until you have installed Windows. After I built mine from scratch, I turned on my computer and nothing appeared on the screen. Could it possibly be that the computer gets confused and thinks it is a graphics card? I don't know, either way you could build your PC, install Windows, then add this and you'll be good to go! I had to spend three hours troubleshooting my computer, so I'm hoping someone may benefit from my experience. Please like so others can see!.

The method does not work It is best to exercise caution when buying
3/5

In spite of all the negative reviews I saw for this device, I somehow convinced myself This was a very exciting feature for me because it would allow me to use my Xbox One X without Unfortunately, the actual recording function does not function. I am not seeing any lights on my device to signal that it is on as it should be. What a weird and frustrating situation. It passesthrough the signal to the television perfectly (even though it doesn't output its advertised HDR on my HDR television). I don't mind. I have literally read every article online and I have watched every video to find ways to get it to work. I even left it plugged in for hours to see if I would automatically get a status LED. However, it was in vain. Even after contacting customer service for some sort of assistance, I have not received a response DAYS after my inquiry. As it turns out, you should be able to simply plug it in and start using it. As a warning to other buyers, I am posting this. This device cost me over $400 brand new, and it doesn't work at all. My unit was returned immediately, and I will be hesitant to purchase another Elgato product in the future.

This is a good recording app for gaming, but one omission annoys me
4/5

The program has been working for me now for several months. I find it to be a fantastic tool for recording gameplay on The audio is crystal clear in 1080p. Only problem I've had has been trying to put my voice, game audio, and party chat audio all onto one Elgato device. It is known that the Blue Yeti can suffer from some strange Elgato limitations when recording all this audio. As a result, the audio in my recordings would sound distorted in the recording, which was both distracting and irritating to me. Because I wanted to be able to change the volume of my friend independently from the game audio, I did this. Usually, the chat audio is extremely loud and I must turn the volume down on the game, which is absurd because it was supposed to be a stealth game and I had no way of hearing Although I searched YouTube and forums for hours to find the solution to the problem, I still was unable to find it. This is what I came up with 2. . . It would be nice to be able to control game volume from chat volume with a mixamp. that there is a setting in the party chat that allows for game volume or party chat focus, but that setting doesn't go far enough for it audio and video for recording via HDMI, and chat audio through the MixAmp audio out port. (I had to order a special Elgato audio out splitter specifically made for this situation. B) A br>3. On my Blue Yeti via OBS, I recorded my voice separately. With this setup, I was able to record the game audio/video, party chat, my voice, and have the ability to separate the audio for game play and party chat which went into my headset separately. The drawbacks are *Provided by 1. The microphones had to be in two places at once. Both my headset and Yeti have been recording my actions in OBS. The headset enabled my team to hear me and the Yeti allowed them to see me. ** 2. During the process of making the video, I had to match up the PlayStation 4 game audio/video with my voice separately. The process was not hard, and I had the capability of either turning up the audio in the game or my voice independently if one After two weeks of research, buying, and setting up, the system was working like a charm. The technology is really great, but yeti devices seem to have a weird hiccup.
