How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

THE AIO WATER COOLER IS COOLER THAN OTHERS As the first AIO water cooler with a cool plate, pump, and radiator that are more efficient, the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II is the best choice available
A low voltage regulator with a temperature of 15°C It is possible to provide extra cooling for the base and voltage transformer by installing an additional 40 mm VRM fan (PWM controlled) next to the pump
A fully integrated cable management system - A powerful and versatile management system In the sleeved tubing are integrated the cables of the fans In this way, there is only one cable visible from the pump to the motherboard, rather than the usual mess of cables
CONSUMPTION OF POWER IS 80% LESS In contrast to the pumps from our competitors, which run at full speed even when at idle, our pump runs at a reduced speed to consume less electricity and produce less noise if cooling is not required.
The following section pertains to maintenance I think it would be great to have a free water loop. High-quality fibers and a sealed water loop make this loop both reliable and durable No need to worry about refilling EPDM tubing as reinforced EPDM tubing does not require it
The extended warranty is as follows As of now, we are offering a 6-month subscription plan All Liquid Freezer II series coolers come with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase Previously purchased coolers can also be covered retroactively by the extended warranty

Questions & Answers

Do you think you'd be able to do a push-pull configuration? Is the length of the screws included on the case sufficient to install on the case in this ?

Push was the only option I could find I pulled the setup, but I was not able to extend the included screws. The push-up test does not have to be passed The setup will be pulled. The Homedepot in my neighborhood has a lot of #6-sized nails 1 to 32 There are a few washers and a few 1/2 inch machine screws. The screws on my case, the Thermaltake View 71, were installed with two washers per screw.

There were no am4 screws included with the cooler! A processor is currently covered in thermal paste and I have no way of mounting Can you tell me where I can find ?

On Arctic's website, you can find the following information about installation *br>"Warning, there is an explosive threat on the horizon!" As a result of shipped screws that have been the wrong size for AMD AM4, some products have been impossible to assemble. [Image] is a picture of the screws in question. These screws are commonly used when mounting 2 and can be replaced with M3x5 screws. Drives up to 5" can be SSDs or hard drives. To receive free replacement screws sent to you by mail, please contact us by completing the contact form. "Yes, I did have these screws in my revision 3 unit. The unit I purchased was only a week old, so most or all new units should come equipped with Your unit would be in that position if it had been sitting in a warehouse since before the missing screws were found/corrected.

Does the fan system have an exhaust or an Air moves through the radiator either pushing or pulling?

By default, these fans push air, but they can be flipped to pull air

Amounts of all Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 Rev3s are the same
3/5

Having seen the performance of this cooler, I have little doubt about its cooling ability, and look forward to trying it out. Although new rev3 mounting hardware included in the box for AM4 sockets may cause potential problems, there are no known issues with the old hardware. The new pump head is supposed to make it easier to install the pump on the motherboard when compared with rev1, The system is a 2. Although some motherboards (in particular, the X570 and B550) may have problems with it. The new mounting hardware includes stand-off screws that screw into the AM4 backplate, and then allow mounting clips to be installed into that backplate. There is the potential for interfering with capacitors around the CPU, or the m, when using these mounting clips. The motherboards of some computers have two heat sinks. In my case, I'm dealing with a motherboard (Asus Crosshair VIII Hero) which has a m issue. A heatsink with 2 heatsinks cannot be mounted properly, which makes it impossible to install the mounting clips. As you can see in the attached image of the manual, Arctic mentions that this could be a potential problem. Still, they do not provide a solution in the box to solve this problem. My contact with Arctic has been made, and I am waiting for a response. When I am able to install the AIO, I will update this review.

I really like this cooler, especially it's performance on Ryzen 3900X
5/5

I ran into problems with the Ryzen 3900x running warm compared to the older Intel chips I had been using. I got a Noctua NH-S as a starter A typical air cooler for this case is the Corsair Carbide AirFlow D15 (Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero, etc. ). This air cooler would idle at 38 to 40°C. The 43nd century. A 50-degree desk would be the appropriate temperature for desktop work. 60 years of gaming The temperature is over 70 degrees. As an enthusiast, I prefer to keep my components as cool as possible to prolong their life span, and to experiment with overclocking if I have the time. Therefore, I read a bunch of reviews, compared prices, and remembered my not-too-exciting experience with a battery charger. Several years ago, I had great experiences with Corsair H100s. As far as I can tell so far, this Arctic 280 (Top mounted radiator in a Corsair 540 carbide air flow case) is great. I had no problems installing the application. There are fewer connections than on the NH The 15th of April. There is much better airflow through the case without the large D15 metal heatsink in the middle of the board. (Ram clearance is not an issue). The main concern for the Arctic has to do with temperatures The 28th is an idle day Those aged 10 and older Across the board, the D15 has a 15 degree lower temperature than the D15, by many accounts, the best air cooler you can buy. A few dollars are saved on this Arctic at the moment. It just goes to show. The following edit was made A reviewer complained that the tiny CPU mount fan (VRM cooler) made a lot of noise. Looking at my cooler, I see you can easily unplug that little fan if you don't like the sound. It's not audible to me, so I am not interested in hearing it.

This product is best in Although one fan was broken when it arrived, it is not a huge issue The broken fan was replaced by my bequite 140mm fan
5/5

the AIO as an intake unit in a BeQuite Dark 700 White case. In my house, the average temperature ranges from 74 to 80 degrees There are 76 degrees out there. The following are the temperatures of my Ryzen 9 3900x CPU under full load using AIDA64 in a brutal stress test The maximum temperature is 80C. A temperature of 81C was not exceeded throughout the test, which lasted 30 minutes. In idle mode, the temperature should be between 35 and 40 degrees This AIO is highly recommended. I have tried the Bequite Dark Rock 2 (air), the Corsair Hydro H110i AIO, NZXT, etc. and none of them can match this beast. We offer you the cleanest liquid freezer in the world with the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 280. It is powered by merely a single 4pin connector on the CPU header, which powers two fans and a pump.

It is not up to Arctic to honor its I had no problems with the cooler for a few months, then it This computer would screech and stop for several minutes after startup
3/5

Screeching wouldn't stop until the point where I had no choice. When I contacted Arctic customer support, they told me they would not honor the warranty and that I would have to return the equipment to the dealer, who would not accept returns either. Customer service is lousy when it comes to I was wondering if we could make an exchange with an invoice and your address. The condition we are in makes it impossible for us to make an exchange because we don't have any stock on hand.
I don't have an estimate of when the stock will be restocked. Please contact your dealer to file a claim for the defective Liquid II. I would like to greet you, Karsten* I would like to serve you.

Nuts are the wonder of the world
5/5

The short and sweet version of this story is The CPU temperature drops by over 20 degrees Celsius while In idle, mid teens experience a drop in performance. Its performance at full speed is exceptional, and its fans are almost inaudible (case placed 3ft away from the floor). Unlike all other sounds in the room, if there was any other sound going on at any reasonable level, the fans would not be audible at 100%. My computer has a soft or soft rushing air sound (besides the three filtered intakes, I only have one exhaust). I also think that it would be a pleasant, though low, white noise to listen to while sleeping. A fan just kicked on in my MS Surface laptop and it's louder at arms length than these fans at 3 feet at 100%. It's impressive to say the least. My initial An American manufacturer decided to spend some money researching and developing new products It would give me the chance to build some superior products and sell them without the marketing overhead that others require. With Arctic, you can play 120, 240, 360, as well as 360p You are likely to be impressed with one of the 280 models if it fits your needs. You can unplug the VRM fan if you have to. (And there is a plug under the cpu pump housing)

- 2 updates and a full review What is the wonder of one nut? One nut is all that keeps the CPU pump housing together! In order to be healthy, it should have two, and it really does need In summary, there is no doubt that it looks huge I do mean big when I say The piece came to be known as "Optimus Prime's cod piece" in a video review, and yeah, that's really The 240 probably would have been a better choice. The HD mount I used to make installation feasible is able to be moved rearward to its last mounting location. I'm sure I'll be impressed with the replacement once I have it. In terms of what I can speak about, it seems very solid, and I believe you'll be pleased with it. A YouTube reviewer was joking about the pump housing looking like Optimus Prime's cod piece when he said it was so thick and the braid was awesome. The packaging is very good, even though it looks a bit generic on the outside. It would be nice if you could save me $20 by printing a prettier box and charging me $20 less. After I send an email to artic, I'll return later with another update on how quickly they respond to me and how well they treat I am not willing to return and then reorder since I do not have the additional room on my account right now. Please, Artic, step up. . . UPDATE#1
Support responded to my late Thursday night email early Friday morning, and an hour later I had approval to ship me a new unit along with a shipping label to return the original. My hope is that the new unit will arrive on Monday or Tuesday. We will be adding more information soon. UPDATE#2 The replacement was received on Tuesday, which is when I had expected it to arrive based on the speed of shipping for the Thank goodness this unit was a 2-nut wonder, and I was able to mount it successfully. Let me now talk about some real comments after I've got it working. This is how it is installed Due to a failed initial install, I had reorganized my case therefore, I only needed to remove two front fans and the AMD cooler, which was not a problem considering the unit is quite large, but it is what one would expect of an AIO CLC cooler of this size. In any case, I did mount it with the fan facing the VRM's, and it was quite a challenge as the backplate wouldn't stay in place and I had to put the box the pump came in under the case to hold the plate in place while I put The following are the performance statistics Most consider this to be the most important. Is it the best? Can it be made to The short answer to that question is I have run several benchmarks, as well as checked the CPU temperature while gaming prior to installation. As a general rule, the CPU should be between 70 and 80 When gaming at 4150 MHz (R5 3600, using standard AMD overclock), the heat put out is 80 C. A second way I ran my application was in "silent" mode with the CPU on "off" A clock set at 2800 has been installed. Gaming can be done with a CPU of about 50 without experiencing significant FPS loss. An impact of approximately 2 - 2. 5 was seen in both benchmark tests It works at 5 frames per second. Using the Heaven benchmark, this speed and the highest possible of 4150 resulted in a difference of less than 2 FPS. In addition, we benched the system using AC Odyssey's built-in There was a difference of 5 frames per second here. In the summer, temperatures are as follows A person who is idle. While I type, my computer is in silent mode, the temperature is 36C, and the fan is running at When using an AMD cooler, the base temperature was 45 C and the peak temperature was 57 C. As the AC280 idled at 34C and peaked at 42C, it reached a maximum of 44C. There is no 4C. Therefore, it did not reach the idle temperatures of the AMD cooler under load. The max temperature of Heaven on the AMD cooler running at MAX speed (note from the pictures that AC Odyssey or Heaven is still running when I change the CPU setting) was 52C while benching at 74C with an average A typical AC280 idle time was 39 seconds, and its maximum was 60 seconds. The average is 50 or less, yet the number of cases is 1. The AC Odyssey, AMD cooler on silent has a CPU idle reading of 50, maximum reading of 63, and an average reading between 60-62 C. 62. When the CPU runs at its maximum speed, idle * 52, the maximum is The average was in the mid 70's however there were spikes to over 80 percent. Avg. CPU idle Clock is *37, max 48, CPU silent mode idle is *37 on an AC 280 The stock temp is 43 (so 20C less than the The idle CPU is 40-80 percent of its maximum CPU (I noticed the CPU fan indicates 1500 rpm and 100%, which does not match my fan curves, so I am Though all I can hear is the fans, it's not even as loud as the white noise I play while There was a maximum temperature of 60 degrees. The average was in the low 50's on 9/10, with a 53 score on the test. Hence, the temperature is cooler by more than 20 degrees compared to The following conclusions can be drawn It is obvious that this thing is a performer. In this case, an 280 might be worth the extra $10 just for the sake of having it fit. On the other hand, if you only have room for the 240, I'd expect the same caliber of It is important to note that most brands of radiators are about 50% thicker than the Arctic brand. There is a space requirement for this unit. In comparison to the packaging, which appears to be an OEM manufacturer, the quality of the build is surprising. They are spending money on research and development, which I appreciate Marketing has more to do with D. Your marketing should be done by word of mouth. Thanks for your hard work. As well as the temp results, I would like to offer some other observations. When I set my CPU to Balanced (stock 3600MHz mode), the temp is 32C and the fans are set to When I put the cover back on, the temperature increased by 1C. When the fan speed is set to Silent (2800MHz), the fan speed drops to 20%, and the temp hovers around 32/33 degrees. When the clock is set to Extreme/Max (4151MHz), the temperature jumps to 38C with the fans on. With the custom fan curve, CPU remains at 4151, but the temperature takes a dive to 38, then drops to 48, then rises to 38 again, then drops back to 38. There may be some need for tinkering with my curve. As of 38, the fans have a 37% runtime, while at 48, they have a 50% runtime. There is no way to hear them. There is a louder fan noise from my work Surface 2 laptop (it kicked in when I ran these fans 100% to observe how loud they were).
So, should you buy this over all of the other CLC units with AV? I would say yes if you couldn't give a damn about RGB. RGB is available on the others unless you want a rad this large just for looks. As we can see, Arctic follows in the footsteps of Hyundai and Kia in producing a good product with a good warranty, while spending minimal resources on marketing to keep costs below the competition's and using word-of-mouth advertising for offers a 10 year warranty on their fans now, and while this just gets 2 years, it's still a lot of time on something this complicated. It also has their own internal pump design, not the same ole rehashed pump everyone else uses. There could be a mistake in thinking that Arctic is the Microcenter home brand for fans, their boxes are only two colors, blue and white, with little marketing. In that case, I applaud you. Therefore, I decided to try it out since it combined that approach with exceptional pricing. In the long run, I do not expect to be disappointed. It is at least hoped that it will not happen.
