Product Description

The power source is 12V-24V the output is 5V/2A (also fits for 1A). This hardwire kit is compatible with all car mini USB dashcams such as dashcams, mirror cams, GPS navigators, accepting voltage from all models of vehicles.
Monitor the parking of your dashcam 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! This kit keeps the dash camera powered even after the engine has been turned off, so you can protect your car at all times! A car battery or fuse box is needed for this kit to ensure that the dash camera has continuous power for at least 24 hours.
A built-in Smart Low Voltage Protection System provides low voltage protection. Having a car battery voltage of 11 may be an indication that it needs to be replaced. You can either use 6V or 23V. When the voltage reaches 5V, the regulator turns off the power, so the next time you start your car you will still have enough power.
With the mini USB hardwire kit being equipped with a precise switching power supply module, 12V (24V) can be transformed to 5V safely and securely. Protect your device from excessive current or overheating by utilizing the built-in safety features.

Questions & Answers

Two hardwire kits for two cameras? Can you install two hardwire kits? There is one for the front and one for the ?

My name is Scott. *br> I would like to say thanks for your It's possible to set up two hardwire kits for your two dash cameras as long as you can plug or connect them into the fuse box in your car. This setup has the main concern of hardwiring the rear camera, since it needs to reach the car's fuse box through the longer cable.
The total running time of the ROVE Ultimate 3-episode compilation is 32 minutes. Approximately 4 meters of lead hardwire cable is provided with the kit. ( 1 - This is a 3 meter input, and 3 meters output)*br> *br> I hope you found this Thank you for your kind words, Alphie *br>Best regards, Love, Alpha

If you connect this to the battery, does the fuse need to be connected as well, or can you connect it to just the battery?

I have a question for you, so thanks for asking. *br>The 3rd ROVE Ultimate is here! The lead wire is enclosed in a hardwire kit that will connect or attach to the fuse. Observe that it is possible to connect the hardwire kit directly to the car's battery, but you need to do it properly. The hardwire is placed inside the fuse box, but it is not recommended for safety reasons. *br> *br>So we suggest you terminate the hardwire at the fuse box instead. It is my sincere hope that this was helpful to you. Thank you for your kind words, Alphie *br>Best regards, Love, Alpha

The motion detection feature will not be used by 9% of Rove Camera customers
3/5

I can see right on page 34 of my instruction manual of the Rove Stealth 4k Pro book that A full 9% of our customers do not take advantage of this. An example of a motion detecting feature would be a camera. In addition to protecting my car and home with this wire kit, I also bought this in case of an emergency. There's nothing to complain about. The wiring kit works as it should. The vehicle has to be started and then stopped once it is wired before it will work the way it is supposed to. Detection of motion is done by bending the light from the camera. Whenever I am recording video of a vehicle that is moving, like a bush moving on a windy day or the shadows of a tree moving from the wind at night, the camera will always record video. If you have nothing moving in front of your vehicle then this will work. When people were walking by the front of my vehicle in a shopping mall parking lot, it worked properly for me. I skimmed through the recordings and could not watch them in real time to see that it was just the wind that caused the camera to record. Also, at night you won't see anyone standing in front of your vehicle unless there is a light. There might only be a shadow to be seen. It might be possible to get some nice clear video if the light is good. During the night, the system works well in a well-lit parking lot. One other issue I've observed was that when a motion is detected and started to be recorded, the screen turns on and makes it easy to see the camera. This will put your camera in a spot where thieves can see it and steal it if they see it on your windshield at night or scare them away when they realize that ***Just for the record When I drive at night, I am able to shoot incredibly clear video on my Rove Stealth 4k Pro. I am able to see license plates in the recorded videos when I get close enough to a car. If you want to use this wiring kit with the motion detection on your camera, it's totally up to you if you want to buy it.

It works great, but there are a few minor issues that are not experienced by everyone
5/5

This was purchased for a Rove dash cam to be placed in the 2020 Chevy Traverse. With the kit, you will have everything you need. Rove could add some disclaimer to the instructions because both could be common problems for new users. Although the instructions are on the weak side, they do include QR links to videos which I have not used but may be a lifesaver for others. It is important to keep in mind which fuse is the ACC power and which is the constant power when making this distinction. The driver door will still keep power on the switched circuits in some vehicles, making it interesting to work from the passenger side with the need to open the driver door periodically to ensure that RAP is not activated. In addition, some people may experience periodic restarts of their operating systems. Within the first two days after installation, I found the camera to power off and on several times while I was out. In my mind, I began to worry that the camera might not work or that the installation was problematic. When I stopped at a light or in a stoppage of traffic, it happened to me. According to my assumption, this had to do with the latest I originally set the cutoff voltage to 12 to prevent restarting the camera after the vehicle restarts from an auto stop. If the battery voltage drops below the 12 I had originally set, the camera will restart from an auto stop. After switching to 12v from 2v, I changed to 3. There was no longer a problem and intermittent issues no longer occurred. Most applications will select 12 from the list, according to the instructions. There is no information on when one might need to set it lower than 2v. It is important to note that both of these concerns are application specific. They do not apply to all individuals. Using a second kit and camera, I plan to install them in a Ford Escape 2019.

Runs hot, is unstable, and is prone to breaking
3/5

At the same time as I installed this kit, I installed a new mirror dashcam, so when the dashcam started acting up, I wasn't sure what was wrong. going into park mode and wake up on its own, then beeping and waking up immediately. It was randomly attempting to shut down, turn on the screen saver, and then shut off and shut on its own. As well as making a humming noise, I had to switch the taps around according to the instructions in order to at least get the camera to turn on with the ignition and work while driving (giving up on the Park mode), but that didn't work But then I connected the dash cam to the power supply it came with (the cigarette lighter plug), and everything was working fine. After that, I bought another 3 It was a wire kit by a different manufacturer, so we had to get rid of this one and replace it with I turned on the cam, and it started working like a charm. As I turned off the engine, the engine started uninterrupted, entering Park Guard and then going into the air In other words, it is doing all that it has The vehicle I own has its own brand new electric system for 2021. Moreover, this hardwire kit had problems even when powered by the car battery, which means that no power fluctuations from the alternator could be a culprit. Adding insult to injury, the build quality is not impressive to say the least. My fuse box compartment was a bit chill because the power supply is so small and gets so hot. There are much thinner wires in this kit than in one from another manufacturer. It became impossible for me to flip the power supply dip switch as soon as I tried. I tried removing a fuse from one of the taps that came with the kit, but the included fuse puller broke when I tried it If you put a fuse in the tap, it takes the form of a death grip. This kit appealed to me and I bought it despite the fact that it cost twice as much as its closest competitor -- I think this is a great idea. It includes a cute little volt meter as well as everything else. In the end, if a device cannot fulfill its main purpose, its bells and whistles are of no use. This is why one star is given. More than just annoyance, it's a big deal. If the energy is poor quality, I'm worried that the camera will be damaged. My gut tells me that at this point, it is not even returnable. Having spent so much time installing, reinstalling and trying to get it to work, it is certainly not in its original shape. The little voltage tester will become a souvenir for me. I guess it will just be used for parts. * So if you are looking for 3-piece sets, make sure to pick the one you like best This hardwire kit would have been more appropriate to use rather than the one Amazon suggests in the shopping cart.
