There was a statement that this was going to Yes, I agree. Not at all. This cable serves as a data transfer medium. I cannot charge the unit while it is in use as happens with the short 4' factory cable. This is an epic fail!.

The bottom line A dashcam charger proved to be a silver lining to my clumsy mistake, and I couldn't be happier with this product.

I acquired a dashcam two or so years ago as extra insurance for my dashcam. Every now and then I find myself driving around densely populated cities where crashes seem to happen at any time. It was great to be able to catch crashes in crystal clarity with the dashcam and officers even inquired about it. As it turns out, I broke my original dashcam charger while moving it to a different vehicle. I almost bit the bullet and bought a different dashcam that wasn't nearly as good as my current one, but I'm glad that I looked here Dashcam buddy works as described, and I am confident driving again now that I have recorded my trips on it. In addition, this one comes with an extra feature that the other didn't have As well as the USB port, I was able to charge my phone. Due to my need for a new one, the charger became a 2-in-1 Buying this was an excellent choice.

I really like this Mirror Cam Cable! When I got my camera, it came with a wired USB hub that fell apart at the connectors! This one has thicker rubber and more pliable rubber, and it is exactly what I needed to fit my camera! I can use it with The Power Cord that came with my Oldshark dash cam fell apart after 30 or 40 uses after only being used for 30 days, but this one fits the dashcam, has plenty of cord, and seems to be made better than the original cord

However, I am not able to start my dashcam every time I start my car when I use this charger. There are times when it is on, and times when it isn't. Since I'm used to seeing it automatically coming on, I don't always remember to turn it on manually. This is supposed to work this way, right?.
