Those JVCs have a rating of 200- It's amazing how long they lasted at 600 watts RMS with anything else. Why are you overworking your subs? RMS would be an extended superior of time. You'll have a hard time finding a replacement who can do both. 5k RMS all day without breaking the bank, but I'm guessing you're a newb, which is fine, but if you have JVC, you'll want to go to 2. Then it's 5k RMS, lol.
ten people are required. 2 x 3/8 ring terminals 4 washers, as well as 3/8 bolts and nuts. Drill two holes in the back of the box that are big enough for a 3/8 bolt to fit through. Speaker wires should be made of 10 ga power and ground wire. Cut 1 black and 1 red wire to run from the outside back of the box to the amp, with 3/8 ring terminals on one end of each. Place a washer after the terminal end of the wire on each bolt. Then, with the loose ends going to the amp, place bolts through the box (so that each wire is outside the box). On the amp, red will be positive and black will be negative. Now it's your turn to join the ranks of the subscribers. Each of the four subs will have a black and red terminal, so take black and red wire and attach a ring terminal to one end of each. Then cut a single piece of wire (of any color) and connect it from the black terminal on one side of the sub to the red terminal on the other side of the sub, as well as a wire from the other black terminal to the bolt with the black wire on the outside box attached to it. Similarly, connect the red terminal to the other bolt on the outside of the box with a red wire. Replace the washers and nuts on the bolts, then screw the subs into the box. All four reds (one from each sub) should be connected to one bolt, while all four blacks should be connected to the other. This will make each sub 8 ohm, and by connecting them all on one bolt, they will run parallel, resulting in a 2 ohm final load at your amp. To determine your final impedance, use a multimeter set to ohms (the horseshoe symbol) and check two wires on the outside box while disconnected from the amp. If it's not 2 ohm, check what you didn't connect correctly.
That skar box is far from ideal.
Yes, it can deal with wino problems at 30hz.

ft. box with a 1d amp. ft. I only played three songs with it because the box and amp are too quiet and the sub makes a popping noise. What's the matter with it?.
To hold it, I built a sturdy box and encased it in epoxy, not only for aesthetics but also for strength. I'm still breaking it in, and I just turned it on the other day for the first time. I ripped out the entire interior of my truck and soundproofed everything, reinforcing some areas with over 100 mil thick soundproofing and new thicker carpet padding and insulation. This thing was still rattling my rear window and causing everything in my center console to move around. This is a true beast. br>I usually buy Sundown, but for the price, I'm very pleased with this sub, which is powered by a Hifonics Zeus 3200W amp.
This skar 12" dual 2ohm voice coil replaced a brovex edx dual 2ohm voice coil that was 10 years old. Wow, is all I can say. My edx stopped bumping, and it was a very sad day. I didn't think I'd be able to get the amount of bass that my 05 Tahoe had become accustomed to. So, here's the deal: I'm driving this sub with an old school Autotek mean machine 1200 rms amp. That's right, there's only one woofer in a custom-made downfire dual-ported box. I'll be able to hit a lot harder than I could on the edx. I haven't measured it with a meter to get an accurate db reading. I spent ten years beating the stuffing out of the brovex and never imagined I'd be able to replace it and be satisfied. Two concept subs, a nemesis sub, and two jbl subs were all tapped out at the autotek's power and what I was looking for. I'm looking for a work vehicle and intend to install a complete Skar audio system. I'm a firm believer in their subwoofer line. I'm looking forward to hearing the 1/2 ohm stable amps thrashing a couple 15" Skar subs in a Honda hatchback. I am not paid or affiliated with Skar Audio; I simply wanted to share it with other bass fans. This is by far the best-sounding sub I could find for under 350 dollars. 00 that is capable of completing the task at hand. I intend to order more and write more reviews as soon as possible. Please enjoy these subs as much as I am, but not as much as my neighbors. Some people win, while others lose. hilarity ensues.
Please accept my apologies for the gatorade and tools. I'm a regular guy who works. This one zvx, on the other hand, went ham like a mf. There's no denying the competition, but get this: it's on a cheap ass planet audio amp. We're all aware of the fact that p. Amps only produce 1/3 (or less) of the power claimed. Skar, on the other hand, is living up to its name. This is a fantastic brand that comes highly recommended.
For the money, this is a great substitute. Because mine came with glue on the terminal, it didn't work, and the surround was glued on slightly crooked over the screw holes, I gave it 4 stars.
I have a 2018 zvx 12 as well as a 2021 zvx 12. Both have a RMS rating of 1500. I purchased both of them for a dual two-ohm setup. br>br>Both have identical SEPERATE amplifiers. Both amps have a 1400RMS output at 4 ohms [both dual 2's are wired in parallel to create a 4 ohm final impedance]. br>br>However, there's a catch: the 2018 sub has a lower temperature stasis than the 2021 sub. The setups for both subs are EXACTLY the same. Amps, wiring, voltage, and settings are all exactly the same. So, why is the temperature stasis of the 2021 sub higher than that of the 2018 sub? Clearly, the voice coil isn't as good as it once was, or the parts aren't as durable as they once were. br>br>Now I understand the state of our economy and how businesses are having trouble obtaining the components they need to manufacture their products. But the problem is that they don't tell us if they're using lower-cost materials. It's a question of whether or not to grade parts to make up for the shortage. br>br>Another thing to note is that the dust cap on this thing comes off far too easily. I'm giving her a three. She has a 0cu ft box with a dual port design, and as I previously stated, she only sees 1400rms. Also, there will be no clipping. Duh : )br>br>My claim is backed up by the fact that the subwoofer is now $303 instead of $380. br>br>With the negatives out of the way, it is, without a doubt, an EXCELLENT subwoofer. I adore Skar Audio, and I'm impressed by how powerful the Zvx 12 is. It slams into you like a ton of bricks. I couldn't even lift this monstrosity, so I had to enlist the assistance of my husband to carry it inside.
Great sound and value for money, but after 2-years, I'm not sure I'd buy it again. After three months, the dust cap began to rattle. I emailed the seller about a popping noise and asked if the product was covered by a manufacturer's warranty. All I needed to do was reduce the gain. The dust cap is of poor quality. That dust cap has been flattened, and it now sounds brand new.
It jolts my Toyota Camry from the year 2000. Good product, except it appeared to have been used and returned before being sold to me by Amazon. When I connected it to a 1500 planet audio amp, it didn't work on a 2 ohm single. The cone has a small scratch on it, and the magnet cover has been touched with a screw driver, indicating that he was curious about the magnet. The item is quite substantial.
