One.
I used 1 ohm settings on them.
It depends on the number of wires and whether they are connected in series or parallel.
Yes, but the fosgate prime r500 only peaks between 500 and 600 watts at two ohms, so you won't get the speaker's full potential. br>However, you can still get good sound out of it, albeit not to its full potential, as the speaker has an RMS power of 800 watts and a peak power of 1500 watts.

Skar subwoofers cannot be returned if you buy the wrong model or it is damaged. Why do they completely block returns if they "stand by their equipment"?.
I've had this subwoofer for a few months and am still blown away by its capabilities. I had it set up with a Pioneer receiver with 4 volt preamps and a Rockville dB14 1000 watt CEA-certified amplifier. The amp is rated. It's set to exactly 800 watts RMS at 45 Hz - Frequency of 3dB test tones It makes my $50 sealed box, which is made of 5/8 MDF, squeal. I wouldn't recommend it, but I've increased the amp gains past my set point to see if it distorts, which it doesn't. If this SVR sub blows up, something is wrong with it or you're using too much power on it. 6 months later: br>br>Update: This 12" SVR has been abused to the point of failure. For months, I knew I was feeding it 1000 watts rms based on a voltage meter calculation, but when I finally hooked up an oscilloscope, the rockville db14 was clipping badly! This woofer had been subjected to far more than its rated power and punishment, and it was clipping! Not a little clipping, but a lot of clipping! It's incredible how the spider's cone is still attached to it. I used a Skar 300 watt 8in ripper. Clipping from a garbage planet audio 1500 watt amp (more like 125 watt amp) got the cone off its spider 2 years ago fairly easily. I'm 36 years old, and I bought and paid for my system at the age of 15, and my first car cost $750. The dual 12's and setup cost more than my car at the time, so it's incredible that this Skar 12"SVR is still sounding great after all the abuse I've given it!.
Excellent value for money, and a significant improvement over my JL Audio W3- 4 12".
This sub will be installed in a 1972 Chevrolet Nova. In that video, I was putting it through its paces; however, that wasn't the full extent of its capabilities; it has the potential to go even further.
I'm also impressed by how hard this thing hits; once I put it in the right box, it demonstrated its strength and capabilities. It may not have the crystal clear sound of some other, more expensive subs, but it is certain to annoy your neighbors and provide all the bass most audiophiles will ever require. br>At 900 watts in a ported star Armour coated box, it hits around 38 to 36 dB on the low end and rattles the brain nicely. Overall, I am very pleased with the product for the price.
I really like this sub, especially for the price, and it fits nicely in my truck's custom box, but it needs to breathe! I don't use the back seat very often, so I simply upgraded to a larger ported box, and this thing slams! I'm still breaking it in, and I'm using a Fosgate T1000 with a parallel setup for the subwoofer. It was strange that it didn't come with screws.
Because of their increased power handling and beefier magnet structure, I swapped these in for some Alpine S subs in the hopes of getting more volume. In the end, I believe I only got a slight boost in output due to the voicecoil configuration, which caused the amp to perceive a 1ohm load rather than a 2ohm load. 2 with the Alpines; otherwise, I'd say the larger motors didn't make much of a difference in terms of raw output and made it more difficult to fit them into my small enclosure. br>br>However, these speakers still sound great and can handle a lot of power without causing distortion. The sound quality is excellent, and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
I'm debating whether or not I should stay with Skar Audio!!.
