I used Eneloop recyclable batteries, and they worked perfectly. It did exactly what it said it would do. I used Eneloop recyclable batteries, which leaked on the first dive, but I was able to clean them up and use them again on the next dive trip after neutralizing them with baking soda. Three other divers who used the same strobe and batteries experienced the same thing. I had no problems using regular alkaline after that.

In and out of the water, shoot by yourself. According to what I've read, this flash has a manufacturing issue.

250 Pro. The YS- The D2 strobe is one of the most powerful on the market. At the YS- it's just as bright. 250, and it claims to have a faster recycle time (though not at full power). It has a realistic color temperature for blue waters and is versatile and simple to use. It's easier to use at night with the backlit controls, and the new switches make switching modes as simple as bumping the lever. The D1 no longer has a style switch, and the battery compartment now has dividers to keep the batteries separated so you don't have to worry about carefully inserting them while holding the strobe vertically upright. This strobe, in my opinion, cannot be beat for the price, performance, size, and convenience of using AA NIMH batteries, until the YS-100 comes out. D3 is now available! This strobe is used on a weekly basis and has proven to be extremely reliable. This book comes highly recommended. P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. My wife and I are the proud parents of two YS- Four YS-D2s and two D2s D1s. The YS- Because of their size and weight, 250 pros were sold.
