I'll give you a quick recap of the backstory. On the day of a shoot, I arrived with my new Canon Since almost a year, I have been using the same stands. In the midst of the shoot, two guys recognized the stands and said, "Are they Newer stands?"? It was a yes from me. After taking sharp breaths, both of them exchanged horror stories about being on set with Aputure 300d's attached to their knuckles and their Neewers giving way. It was just a simple strip. Therefore, while my case has so far been fine, they frightened me enough that I am not willing to take the risk. These replacement knuckles are a world apart from the cast mystery metal knuckles on the stands that came with the game. Having said that, I was able to get the stands for a reasonable price and I am grateful for the upgrade. Other than the Neewer stands, there is nothing else you can complain about. It would be nice if they would bring back the two stand offer because I would buy over 5 stands
VERY pleased with this purchase.
I'm not sure you can use it as a boom for a flash, but it's not bad for gobos and reflectors.
It looks the same as the most expensive grip gear on the market. I like the smoothness of this.
This is a very heavy duty piece and I like that the materials are not reflective. I originally bought one as they looked plastic because I wanted to reduce the weight from my support box but couldn't be more pleased with the quality. The finish has a bit of a nonslip quality, but it also has some It was just a matter of getting a few more to round out the set since they are so good.
Grip head is such a GREAT product- As of now, I've found it to be the best I've used.
I was immediately struck by the weight of the knob and the substantial handle. The reflector arm works great with the 52-inch reflector. However, because the reflector arm firmly grips the reflector when it is tightened, it is difficult to adjust. I must get used to using it.
The quality of the product is actually very good considering the price. This product has stood the test of time. My main use of the boompole is to hold a shotgun mic overhead using a mic boompole holder.
The thing I use is very practical, and though it isn't glamorous, I enjoy it very much. In spite of this, it holds stuff remarkably well.
