You can choose between studs and no studs when purchasing. The stud is the method of joining two parts together. It's usually on the part, but it could also be the wedge with stud that connects to other components. It's common to see a wedge that doesn't have a stud. It's a fantastic piece of equipment!
I believe so, as long as you have a 5/8" (I believe the diameter) spud to connect the westcott to the Clamp's bottom mount hole; The C-clamp can then be used to clam the reflector arm. calmp.
By your question, I assume you're asking how wide the clamp's jaws will open and close to hold it in place. If that's the case, the clamp opens wide enough to secure a 3" diameter auto pole or a 2 inch flat surface using the supplied wedge. It will keep its grip and support a 5 pound load until the load is removed and the crank is released. A stud is required to attach any accessory or join two units together, by the way. They're available in a variety of lengths and screw mount sizes, including 1/4" and 1/2". 3/8" in diameter, brass or aluminum. I recommend that each super clamp in your grip has at least one stud.
The clamp is made to re-enforce the re-enforcement of the re-en Pulling the handle slightly away from the clamp allows it to freely rotate to any new position.

I am physically disabled and must frequently use a wheelchair. I am unable to walk without assistance and must rely on a walker. I attached the superclamp to the handle of my walker, then screwed in the Manfrotto standard stud with a 3/8" screw, to which I screwed in the Manfrotto 438 camera leveler, to which I screwed in the Manfrotto 502AH video head (see second photo). And all of this is sturdy enough for me to slide in my video camera rig, which includes the Z Cam E2, a good Voigtländer lens, the BM5 monitor/controller, and even a battery to power it all (see first photo). I can shoot video while sitting in the walker's seat or while walking with the walker's assistance (the video head handle allows me to point the camera in any direction). br>br>Next, I'll do the same for my wheelchair (thankfully, I bought two of these superclamps, so I can leave one on the walker and the other on the wheelchair and simply move everything else between them as needed).
It's a 3 3 Section Double Articulated Arm, and it's fantastic. It keeps everything in place so well that I leave my setup, as well as my Canon DSLR, in place until I'm ready to shoot again. I highly recommend it, and I may purchase another one in the near future.
In photography and video, this is a must-have tool. I only give 5 stars to items that I believe are a great value for the money or that I find to be so useful that I need to buy more. br>The latter is largely the case. br>br>I work in video and photography for a living and find this to be a useful tool when you need to hang a speedlight, or even a small camera, from a strange location without breaking out a stand. br>br>I usually get mine with the 1/4 " 20 stud or even the 3/8 to 1/4 " studs, which can be used to mount all kinds of photo gear. br>I've used these to hold reflectors, background fabric, field monitors, gopro cameras, and so on. br>br>With two of these, a stud and a magical arm, you'll have a lot of options. This is a no-brainer. With the included wedge adapter, they open wide and can grip cylinders or flat objects. br>br>Another popular combination is to use this with a stud and a sturdy mini ball head for 360-degree versatility. br>I have four of them now, and I'm thinking about getting a couple more because they're so handy.
These are unique and functional. Because I ordered the same ones a year ago and they were knockoffs, I say that. clearly. As a result, I chose to wait, and the ones that were sent are now genuine originals.
I'm attaching a rain umbrella to a monopod with two of these and one 061 joining stud. It's a powerful tool that works well. If the wind is too strong, the umbrella will fly away before the clamps can release it.
The Manfrotto 035 Super Clamp has a very strong clamp and a smooth mechanism. I would not choose the T-Clamp. version-management With this longer handle, you'll gain more leverage when tightening. I currently have about ten of these in my studio and am in desperate need of more. Kupoles are a great place to use them. I use autopoles to support backgrounds (it takes two per connection point for 100% secure support) and keep a few on hand for the unexpected.
This clamp is one of my favorites. It's powerful enough to dent my table. This is what I use with my Manfrotto articulated camera arm. It's for my Photo Booth operation. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything as powerful as this. It's as if you're being suffocated. I like it because it keeps my heavy equipment in place for long periods of time without losing its death grip. This one, despite being a little more expensive, is well worth the money because it will outlast all of my other clamps.
These are the best, and I wish that everything was made like this. I'm on my ninth or tenth one, and I'm already wishing I had bought the two-pack!.
