Mounting the clamp on the original Manfrotto plate can be accomplished by attaching 2 screws to the original plate
If you want to shoot panoramas, an extended plate should be used. As a result, the clamp center is moved to the tripod The use of regular conversion plates will do if you do not take panoramas
Two adapter plates are available from Hejnar for the 405 and the We are HejnarPhotostore. Please visit www.com. It is possible that the plates are the same. It came with a clamp and adapter set for the 410 that I bought. This adaptor works great for adapting to the Arca style without the increased cost of the RRS clamp.

It is an excellent product, but the optical center of the camera is approximately 1 inch to the left of the central axis of the tripod when using the Manfrotto 410 Junior geared head. In addition, this makes it unsuitable for use as a panoramic head because it can cause parallax errors- The process of creating a panorama of an indoor scene is particularly difficult. Using this conversion set, you can easily convert the screw base of a Manfrotto 410 head into an Arca base It is based in Switzerland. Although its design does not address the parallax problem found in the Manfrotto 410 head, this model is a worthy addition to the line. With just a few dollars more, you can get a range of options, while still getting a lot of information.
When I shoot real estate, I use this every single day. With a twist of my wrist I can attach my Sony a6000 to the tripod and then quickly remove the camera with a twist of my wrist, so that, if needed, I can take a handheld shot (like in a small bathroom) without taking the camera off the tripod. However, the biggest benefit is that I now no longer have to rely on the Manfrotto mount. An Arca Swiss clamp is attached to a 12' painters pole. I'm trying to clip that to the clamp. As a result of the L My main tripod has a Hejnar clamp on it, and I can simply slide the camera to the one on the painters pole, as there is no need to remove it from the main tripod. My elevated shots were triggered with a wireless trigger right after I ran the pole up. Getting things done quickly & efficiently This is simple. In the absence of these screws, I would have to unscrew the Manfroto tripod head plate from the bottom of the camera and then attach the extension pole to it by screwing something else in. Actually, that means I would be taking no extension pole pictures because of that. It would be a pain to do it. In this way, I am able to maintain a smooth Here is a picture taken with the Hejnar clamp mounted on the camera when it was first taken. A second image was taken of the same house after I had made the quick changes described above and had run the same camera up in order to get a higher vantage point.
Using this converter is a great idea. A very nice job was done to machine it and it Attaching and removing the camera are both easy it does not come with a quick connect, but may be secured or released by two or three turns of the lock. Obtaining this was primarily driven by the need to facilitate the use of an Arca L-mount Identify in brackets. It is now easier than ever to switch between Portrait and Landscape modes. I also appreciate that it is made in the United States. This product has been in my possession for approximately two years now. As I have experienced for almost a month now, the only con I can think of is This screw is located right above the leveling bubble on the 410, so when you look directly down at the bubble, the stem of the screw blocks your I do not consider this a definite show stopper. It makes leveling take a little longer because you need to look from the sides. It may be a good fit for you. This is the only tripod I have with a converter. Among all my tripods, two come with the 410 head, and two come with the 472 head. My goal is to convert both of them by the end of this week.
The adapter I purchased works well for what I need it for. This was the best solution I could find for mounting Ark plates to a geared Manfrotto head. The results are solid, but it's rather heavy and adds quite a bit to head expense. In the studio, I mount mine on a lateral arm to get straight down shots. To date, I am happy with the results.
Craftsmanship of the highest order. We are making a big splash with Made in the USA! I was able to use this unit with my Manfrotto Gear Head without any problems. Installs easily and screws keep them in place tightly without slipping or wriggling.
Designed and manufactured with high quality materials, it fits just like it was integrated into the factory.
I was pleased with the product and it was made easy to install on the Manfrotto 410 geared head. It is the Arce-based system that I use Type L- Swiss For the Manfrotto head, brackets were needed as well as a conversion. I love it!.
Having bought the conversion clamp, I'm ready to install it. The adapter plate and not the two pieces are all you need if you have the 490 series heads. I like it a lot.
