In short, yes. You may need a longer plate if you are only using a Celestron or Losmanndy mount. Depending on whether you are doing astrophotography, they may not be as durable as other mounts.

It is the mounting plate that I bought for my CGEM. In my case, I used it to attach a Coronado solar scope measuring 60 mm. Both were excellent fitting and should provide a stable system that can be used for viewing or imaging with the correct bolt configuration.
Originally bought for mounting on a Celestron CGEM mount, I also purchased this to mount an older 8" Made SCT and an earlier Celestron 102GT refractor. It works perfectly for that purpose. The mounts for both telescopes were connected with rings, and they were mounted to their respective mounting plates. A single mount can now be used for three different scopes.
