Questions & Answers

How can I tell if images are upside down or inverted?

In short, yes. Images with standard eyepieces are inverted as well as upside down.

Are the shipping box dimensions of the omni xlt 150 mewtonian reflector the same as the back of the ?

A huge box and a smaller box were included. Their size is a mystery to me, but they were incredibly large. It is not possible to lift them with your arms wrapped around them using a dolly is necessary.

Do you have the option of requesting delivery to Mexico?

Mexico is a country where you can purchase this telescope.

How do I find the right case or bag for the Omni 150 xlt? I want something that can withstand travel by airplane. ?

Are checked luggage items allowed? You're going to have a tough time with that. In theory, you could begin by looking into some hard-shelled Pelican cases, but that will add several thousand dollars to your investigation costs. A telescope you can take on an airplane is what you need. Basically, any reflector other than a dobsonian or a newtonian (especially with a GEM mount) should be considered. It might be a good idea to put it in a soft-sided bag- Case shelled by Orion or Meade in the hope of success. It would be better to buy a real Pelican instead- If it's a suitcase-esque case, go to a luggage store and see what they can do with it. In my opinion, the cheaper/better option for traveling would be to find and buy a different (or different and additional) telescope.

The sky and this scope are still a mystery to me since this is my first telescope. I would recommend it because I think it's a pretty good deal. Due to suburban skys, I can find the orION nebula and the moon in stunning detail, and the f/5 aperture is especially useful for large star clusters, such as the Pleiades, so you can see it all on one screen. As far as I can tell, 8 has been spelled correctly. There are five stars of magnitude five When my eyes are averted, I can only see just barely. do this now that the moon is not up, but I guess an excellent introductory scope, but you should expect to spend more on eyepieces once you're up and running. You should be able to use the 25mm eyepiece included, but you probably will find the 6-inch eyepiece more useful At the very least, you should use a 10mm lens and a moon filter. This does not come with go-to capabilities or motors that track the cursor, although you can buy those options separately. You will have to spend some time looking up at the sky in order to find what you want to observe You will be much more satisfied when you find it if you do this. If you're looking for instructions on how to find things, check out the book "Turn Left at Orion. " As a result of these tracking motors, it's easier to keep something in view, but a bit harder to find things in the first place (see my review for more information). In my opinion, they're not necessary.

If you want to take longer exposures, the motors will actually come in handy. As a result, attaching the camera at prime focus is simple and produces good results. The process of attaching a camera via eyepiece projection is complex and inconvenient, as the camera is placed so far beyond the telescope tube that the focuser and mount are not capable of focusing. Collimation tools are not necessary you don't have to buy any. Take a look around on the web Almost everyone doesn't bother with fine-tuning their secondary until they can see the entire primary in their secondary. Your secondary should support you nicely if you switch to

To sum it up, this scope has the advantages of a jack of all trades and a Photography is not optimally made possible by this, but it lets you do it. With the eyepieces it comes with, you have to use the extension tubes included, which makes it difficult for you to use a barlow. comes with a good mount, and you can get it for an affordable price. All in all, it's a great scope for me to start out with, and I'm looking forward to trying it out in dark skies soon!.

This is a great deal for the price

Under $1000, this is the perfect opportunity for amateur astronomers to learn about the stars. I tried starting with the PowerSeeker series, but should have skipped them and gone straight to this. The manual control mount here can be used to get familiar with how an EQ mount works and learn how the celestial sphere A comparison of the XLT 150 OTA and the 127eq PowerSeeker shows that the XLT 150 is superior Unlike spherical mirrors, this one has a parabolic shape rather than a sphere, and it does not feature a In addition, you can use this telescope with a 2" and a 1" spotting scope. Each eyepiece has a 25" diameter. Here are three reasons why. A 25" adapter is included with the unit. Despite being screwed on, it can be unscrewed for easy use with a T The dual axis motor kit is required for most objects in astrophotography, but the ring is fine for beginners. In sum, I would recommend this for new casual users who do not wish to spend $1000 or more on a telescope.

A CG- is what I get What can you get with 500 bucks for a 4 mount AND a telescope? I want my money! Shut up and take it! But, seriously, this is a great offer for anyone who wants to start looking at stars and planets
5/5

The 3 I have been using has been great so far. A 5 "refractor on a rickety old mount, which I had rebuilt, all the while dreaming of a mount with the CG-mount After seeing this set up, I ordered it immediately. I kept expecting someone to call me in the morning and say they made a mistake on the price. It showed up when I expected it to, took a few minutes to put together, and works perfectly. On this 26th of April, it is snowing like a blizzard. In the field across from the new and the old photos, I found some trees to look at. You don't need collimation to view Horah! In accordance with the CG As for the 4 moving like silk and the Newtonian bringing in a bit more light than the refractor, it seems to be doing that quite well. It's going to be incredible when first light comes. I would like to thank I just want to say a huge thank you to all of the folks over on the cloudy nights forum!.

For viewing the moon, this is fine, but not for viewing the In so far as performance is concerned, this scope has been adequate
5/5

One of my main complaints has been the weather. You get a 30-X magnification with a 25mm ocular included. For viewing the moon, this is fine, but not for viewing the The purchase of an extra eyepiece or a Barlow would be recommended. Despite the very small size of Saturn with the 25mm lens, the resolution was superb. I find that it is a great scope for the price and comes with an excellent CG 4 After procuring these two lenses, I bought a 32mm Plossl with a 2x and a 3x Barlow. The only thing left is for the weather to be nice.

The telescope is amazing
5/5

In addition to the moon, I saw the OSI nebula and Mars with the telescope, although it was hard to move because it is big and heavy. I would recommend buying the eyepieces 9mm or 25mm that this telescope offers and adapting with a barlow.

A quality product, not one that falls apart after only a few uses
5/5

astonished at the quality of the scope. It is a beautiful thing to look at and to gaze at stars through. In regard to the mount and the scope, I was pleasantly surprised by how robust and well-made they are. Thank you once again, Celestron. You've done a fantastic job.

This is a very good scope, but it would cost a lot more than I am willing to pay
5/5

It's a great scope, but if it was more expensive I would have given 4 stars instead of 5 stars. It is quite smooth in tracking the image, and the image quality is quite good overall. As soon as it is set up, the tripod is quite a solid piece of equipment. One big thing that I noticed, just a guess as to whether this was a factory mistake or a shipping mistake, is that the secondary mirror (right in front) was badly out of alignment, and had to be forced back into place by using a screwdriver. As a result, it came out of alignment again the next two times I used it, so every time I use the telescope, I have to align it with a screwdriver. Getting the secondary mirror aligned is easier, but the primary mirror can be done quickly.
