The finished product is much more durable than I expected. I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to operate it because of my large hands, but the knobs are large and simple to operate. The rack and pinion gears are capable of quickly moving the slide from one end to the other. It is, however, simple to fine-tune to a specific location. The Omax unit was mounted to the microscope stage in a matter of seconds. I would highly recommend this product because it arrived promptly and in good condition.
