Questions & Answers

The Double Layer Mechanical Stage is intended for what purpose and/or what advantage?

It is actually a stage with two layers that accommodates both horizontal up and down movement as well as longitudinal up and down movement.

Are coins able to be examined with a microscope?

It is designed for objects through which light can be shone. If you want to look at coins, you'd need a stereoscope.

Would it be useful to look at soil organisms with this microscope? Flagelletes protozoa are the microbes I am seeking. What is the answer to this question? Would you mind telling me?

There is no problem. Just suspend a few grains of soil in water, cover the surface with a cover sleeve, and you are ready to go. This microscope is no different from any other- This camera has a surprising amount of optical quality. As well as flagellates, you can also see a variety of other organisms, fungi, ciliates, amoebas, and other bits of matter.

How does the 2000x magnification compare with standard The picture is clear, but is it crisp?

I am in the negative about these slides. They have some blurry and dim images when used with wet prepping slides or immersion in oil. Despite that, I think it is as good as one can expect from a microscope of this price range.

Keep this microscope away from your eyes! decided to order this after I saw it recommended on a Facebook goat group as I wanted to be able to run my own feces
3/5

But when it arrived, I was disappointed to discover that it did not come with a manual. In the box there was a piece of paper stating that a manual could be downloaded from their website after entering a code, which was supposed to be on the box, but they had failed to print or stick the code in the appropriate place on the box. My customer service representative sent me a link, but I needed a password to access the link, which they had failed to give me. At first, I thought it was a matter of national security to obtain a manual for a product that was purchased for full price. On my second call to customer service, someone gave me the password, but once I got to the website, it didn't list I have three times tried to reach customer service and Daniel R. has not responded. His response was that he would send me the manual by email. A few hours later, he emailed the PDF to me. After I got the microscope set up, there was an instruction that said I had to look through the binoculars and adjust until the I did not see two circles, and I was not able to get anything to converge either, regardless of adjustments. While binoculars have two eye pieces on each side that can be adjusted to fit an individual's eyes, on this microscope, both eyepieces are stationary, and the only way to adjust them is for them to This is a very poor performance. Even though I am an adult with a normal face size and a normal eye spacing, I can't look through these two eyepieces at the same time with both my eyes at the same time, and even their very minimal adjustments cannot fix this. Again, I contacted customer service and was told they could only offer me a refund. The company made absolutely no attempt to help me resolve the issue or provide pointers for different things I could do to make this Even though it is a hassle to have to return something and there is nothing wrong with the microscope, I decided that I would just return it, because if they are so hard to get in touch with, I don't want to be stuck with them later when something goes wrong.

It is not a good idea to Buying this scope is a bad idea! The time has come to replace my five microscopes! I bought five last year, but only two are functioning now
3/5

I believe that the LED lights of the 3 scopes that are not functioning and are now just sitting there taking up space are not receiving power from the LEDs. Push up on the light bulb and the led will start to flicker when the lens is removed. I think the scope is having an issue, but it's not a software issue. These scopes will not be purchased by me in the future.

I could not have asked for a better outcome! This microscope was a birthday present for my 8-year-old The year is I was given a microscope by my grandson at the age of three, but he let me know that he did not want a "play" microscope
5/5

A used lab-grade microscope was replaced by this one My old microscope was a high-quality device that I purchased privately from a lab scientist. This new one is just There is an unexpected weight to this, and it is made of metal rather than I give this microscope the highest recommendation to my grandson, who takes science very seriously, and to his mother, an excellent math teacher who knows a lot about science It has excellent optics and lighting, is very easy to use, and has crystal-clear optics Imagery that is clearly visible. Her reaction to the quality of the product was astonishment. In addition to these gifts, I bought my grandson the "AmScope PS25 Prepared Microscope Slide Set for Basic Biological Science Education, 25 Slides, Includes Fitted Wooden Case" so that he would have prepared slides to show his teachers right away. I am amazed at how clear the images are! This purchase has been a great success for us. Any serious science student will find this kit well worth his or her money.

This is awesome! A lens that is immersed in oil is the most expensive
5/5

To begin with oil immersion is the only way to achieve the highest magnification. If you want to focus on anything, you must put a drop of oil on your slide cover and then lower the lens into the oil. If you do it to the other three lenses, you must NOT do it. This is what allows the 2000x mag to work Unsteady air is replaced by oil when light travels through it. The feature is a wonderful bonus at this price. Don't worry, however, you can be satisfied with the three other lenses, which is a lot of what I intend to use. For those of you who are not familiar with what oil immersion objectives are, here are a few examples There are many things to investigate when it comes to 'microscopy techniques', along with 'microscope slide preparation' and 'cell staining' techniques, as well as 'dark field' versus 'light field' - This is illumination. The key is As with any 'real' microscope, you would be wise to learn how to use it properly so you can get the most out of it. However, except for the 4th lens (oil immersion) a kid could easily figure out how to use On a slip of paper there is an address with which you can download a user guide- It must have gone unnoticed by me. In case you need assistance, there are many omax videos available on you tube. There are many reasons why I chose an LED light Since they run cold, live pond cells are not affected, as they are with a hot halogen bulb. As well as lasting longer, they are more durable. In what way does this scope fit into your life? Actually, it's better than what I used in high school and for Chem I in college. It is far superior to the cheap Tascos I used to buy I used garage sale scopes and a kit I made to mount my This was an easy assembly Removing the cover is as simple as loosening the knob on top. To take off the clear cap at the bottom of the head unit, remove it. Placing the head unit on top of the scope and recalibrating Turn knob until it is tight. Put the eyepieces in I found my 20x to be a bit tight and difficult to install, but it's 40 degrees here, which may have shortened the metal holes where the 20x were installed. You just have to wait for them to come all there is to Also, plug in the light to make it work. As a result, you just need to refocus a little since they are parfocal, which means when you switch between them, you don't need to change the focus. It has a great feature that makes using it even more enjoyable. The LED lighting includes a dimmer switch, and under the stage, there is also a diaphragm - The package was half open when it was Allow more light to enter by sliding it open. Once again, if you have no idea what these terms mean, you should do some research on the topic of "how to use a microscope". There is a flat appearance and focus on the edges of the optics I deal with telescope mirrors with an edge, which is opposite that of many telescope mirrors*, but Dial adjustments are made with each eyepiece spinning, and interpupilary adjustments are made with the eyepieces sliding apart. Switch eyes and focus that eye by turning the eyepiece itself after focussing with one eye closed using the focus knob, then flip your eyes and focus with the other eye open. Open both eyes now and look in both directions. Although you'll see both clearly, you'll be able to see double You can also slide the eyepieces farther and farther apart, until at some point you can no longer see double and you get a There's an optical illusion here like the one on the 'magic eye' You'll know it when you've got it I see what you mean. It may take a few minutes to figure it out, however. Deliveries
Just joined amazon prime as a guest, and I bought this for the first time. My order arrived (in Detroit) in a little less than 48 hours, with all the accessories listed, plus a nice cover. The green filter is included in case the film chromatically flares The scope thus does not cost (at a minimum) 15x more than one of the same products. There is nothing better than this microscope, and I am wishing I had bought it sooner. I give it a resounding.
