Since the screw would need to be located on the mount the camera is mounted to, no. My current collection of tripods includes two Manfrotto tripods, one Slik tripod, a helmet mount, and two Manfrotto monopods Each one came with a screw, the screw was included with each unit. It was GoPro that was the first to incorporate an alternative to the standard threaded hole in the bottom of its
The 1/4-inch hole is the only one that it can attach to The threads on the camera mounts are 20 mm. There's nothing wrong with it it's
That's correct, it works great. On my vlogs, I often use them together. With a 1/4,20 thread, it has a straight finish.
No, this is not the mounting system you want to use for that application unless your dive mask has a tripod-like thread sticking out of it.

The target of this mount is to attach my GoPro Hero 5 Black camera to my tripod as the name implies. It will look beautiful on my YouTube videos if I get some time lapse images. Because there is always something out there for what you pay for, I was a little leery because the price was so low. As for the mount, I'm pleased to report that it is both stable and reliable. Although the product is made from aluminum, it is not weak or bent easily, as one may expect from a more affordable product. You will not have to worry about it falling out while you screw in the retaining screw, as it is very sturdy. Although the one I bought does not come with a retaining screw, I have no problems threading the stock GoPro screws into the camera. I have used the mount several times as well as securely attaching it to my tripod I have considered buying other Smartee products based on the quality of this mount, and I will report on them after testing them.
A very high level of quality is present in the build. There seems to be lots of aluminum in it. Although the tabs are nice and big, there is too much space between them, and aluminum is not very flexible, so even if you crank the bolt down, the camera still can't stay on well as the standard plastic mount from GoPro. I regret to inform you that this item is worthless. They may be able to make it work if they fix the spacing. I now have a trash can full of the one I bought.
I couldn't get Gopo Hero 8 to work. You shouldn't buy this if you have Hero 8. Because there is too much space between the tabs, and aluminum is not very flexible, it does not firmly hold the GoPro 8 even when you crank down the bolt.
If you don't have to make sure that the camera doesn't move, then these mounts are ideal. Amount has three openings two on the left and one on the right. I am 22 years old. The mounting parts of the GoPro are three inches long and 25 mm wide. The thickness of the tape is 0 mm. It appears that 22 mm isn't much, but the aluminum is so sturdy that you cannot somehow squeeze it together easily enough to secure the camera. It is extraordinarily easy to adjust the camera with a screwdriver, even when it is firmly tightened. In comparison, the plastic GoPro mounts of the same type have a 3" diameter. The base measures 0 mm in diameter and the top measures 2 mm in diameter. The top of the sphere measures 8 mm. Initially, it is flexible enough to allow tabs for mounting to be inserted, and after that, a screw tightens to secure the camera. In the event that you're just mounting your GoPro to a tripod and you'll leave it for a few minutes, this adapter will be a great choice. Using this method, the camera will be able to move from the intended aiming point if it's mounted on a moving vehicle, for instance.
Work fine. On my tripod it fits well. The quality of the material will not be known until I use it for a while and see if it cracks, but it does seem to be made of a similar plastic to that used in the standard There is a hint in some of the photos that the thumb turn bolt for attaching it to the camera frame is included (a bolt with the "Smatree" logo appears in some shots). Due to that, I withdrew one star. Since it does not come with the bolt, you have to use your own. I have three bolts for my GoPro mounts, and one of them worked perfectly. Still, the description should make clear that the mount does not come with the bolt, or eliminate the photos showing it.
Highly recommended. A good quality cast pot metal and not cheap billet aluminum. Since I am not a huge believer in plastic when it comes to real life environments, I bought The slots on yours may be too wide and it won't tighten up fully. If that is the case, use thin paper to wedge in between the slots or paint the whole thing. As the camera isn't going to see that extra space, you should fill it with something else. Even if it is a little odd-looking but works, it is still functioning.
As a replacement for the plastic tripod mounts I had been using, these have worked well. My experience with the plastic tripod mounts is not great. A few have broken on me before. Due to the fact that I primarily use tripod mounts with dive equipment, including pelagic diving (extremely deep water), there is the possibility a mount will break during a dive and I will lose a camera at 100 feet below the surface. Then I stumbled across these and decided to give them a try, as I was looking for a replacement. I have used them quite a few times now and found them to work Using my camera, I have not had any issues with the camera not staying in place well enough. The only thing that I don't like is that the holes were a bit hard to line up to run the bolt through the housing and through the mounting. I expect they must keep the tolerances very tight to ensure the camera does not slide.
All in all, if you're looking for a more durable mount for your GoPro, I would recommend this one without hesitation, as I have had great results when using it.
There is slop, but it is not enough! It was posted by someone else. In addition, the spacing is too loose for the screw to be tightened to the required degree without about 1/4" of This means that the top and bottom will flip 1/4" forward and backward. A tripod mount I have uses a jaws flex clamp and that holds so much better than the other tripod mount. If you have it in a steady state, you should be fine. There was nothing I hated more than having lingerie sludge in it and debating whether to return it.
