Manfrotto 323 RC2 Rapid Connect Adapter with 200PL-14 Quick Release Plate - Replaces 3299-Black

I. The problem I think this is a great movie This is a metal quick release adapter and plate of excellent quality. In order to use it with my Canon t6i DSLR, I purchased it. It came with a large plate that obscured the battery door on my old quick release (looked like it came with a cheap tripod). With this one, the battery door just barely misses the opening, which means I can change the batteries without having to remove the cover. A number of nice features are present on the plate. A safety mechanism can be turned on or off to make sure you don't bump the quick release lever accidentally. A ring on the mounting bolt seems heavy duty, and there is a clip on the mounting bolt that ensures it won't fall out when the plate is not attached to a camera (I researched the cheaper imitation plates and complaints were made about their lack of these features). As far as I can tell, the quick release holds the plate quite firmly, so only if you are exceedingly rough with your camera will there be much play. The bottom of the kit has a protrusion that might interfere with whatever you are mounting it to (see my video for some measurement examples). As part of the kit, there is a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter already installed in I feel a genuine high when I use it Although it is a quality product, the price tag is hefty. 3 Stars from me, but read on to understand I got this because I wanted a quick release when I was using my Fluid Head 502AH. It was very inconvenient to have my camera embedded in that quick slide rail on the head since that covered my camera's battery/memory card door. Therefore, I had to unscrew the camera every time I had to change batteries. You can either grab the memory card or use the head at the same time. Unfortunately, the 323 RC2 conflicts with the head so it cannot be used simultaneously. It's built out of metal and very sturdy apart from that. It's great that the mounting and releasing mechanisms are so easy to use. There is still a chance I will return it if I am unable to find a use for Manfrotto really needs to come up with an adapter for smaller cameras so that you can still use the 502ah and 323 systems.
