Questions & Answers
Plastic that is extremely long lasting.
The inside of the clip has a grooved gripping surface made of hard rubber, and the amount of force provided by the spring tension in the clip is a few pounds. As long as you're not repeatedly hitting hard waves, it should be fine when paired with a lightweight GoPro (I have a Hero 8 Black attached to mine). My helmet was clipped to the side of my motorcycle's windshield, and I noticed it slid a little over minor potholes. Personally, I'm more concerned about the possibility of flex stress causing damage to the windshield.
The Magnetic Swivel Clip is compatible with the HERO9 Black (with Media Mod attached).
Yes, all GoPro HERO cameras are compatible with it.

A velcro strap that fits over a backpack strap, a generic clip, and the official GoPro clip are all on my list. This is the best of all of them. Advantages: br>br>
- You can see from the first image that this is the smallest of all the clips I have, which I prefer because it doesn't get in the way as much when taking off and putting on the backpack. br>- The form factor does not change much when you rotate the clip (which isn't even an option on the velcro strap), unlike the other clipbr>-br>-br>-br>-br>-br>-br>-br>-br>-br>-br>-br> I wrote a review for the Sametop clip, and one of my major complaints was how far back the spring is, resulting in very little leverage when opening the clip. The GoPro clip, as you can see, provides a little more leverage, making opening and closing (i. e. It's a lot easier to attach and remove.
- Finally, another issue I had with the Sametop was that the teeth are sharp plastic, and after putting it on and taking it off several times, the threads on my backpack strap began to rip. This will not be an issue because the GoPro teeth are rubber.
- Also, if you're thinking about getting a Sametop, the GoPro clip is much easier to swivel, making it much easier to adjust while it's on your bag. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
- There aren't any major drawbacks that I can think of, but the magnet on the back bothers me. When my gear (which will come into contact with thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment and electronics) contains magnets, I get a little nervous. br>br>Conclusion: br>br> br>I've been using these straps and clips to attach my GoPro to my backpack for vacation videos, and they've always disappointed me. I'm glad GoPro released an official version, and I believe they did it correctly. There are no compromises here, and I am looking forward to using this clip. There's no need to look elsewhere if you're looking for a way to attach your GoPro to your bag.
I bought one for my Harley Road Glide because I thought the magnet would look cool on the front fender in a couple of photos. At 15 miles per hour, I wouldn't trust it. As a result, I used the windshield clip. It shifted with even the tiniest bump in the road. It was panned far to the left after another bump. I'm sure I'd have misplaced the camera if there had been one more. On the last ride, I had to adjust so many times that it became more of a pain than anything else. It went into the junk box labeled "maybe I'll use it someday" after the ride.
The magnet was the only reason I bought it, but it isn't very powerful. If you mount it to a moving surface, it will most likely move. It's just as likely to come off as it is to stay on. br>br>Since I was purchasing this to be mounted on a locomotive, I may have had high expectations. But, of course, I invested in a GoPro! This item isn't up to par.
More than the clamp, I purchased this GoPro mount because of the magnet mounting. When mounted vertically or from the ceiling, the magnet is only marginally effective. It can also move around because of the vibration. This mount was purchased to be used with CNC machines that spray coolant. I've managed to get by by using other magnets to stop it from moving. For my application, this isn't the best solution.
After only a few uses, one of the locking walls onto which the GoPro slides and clips broke. Also, the plastic cracked around the spring in the area where you pinch it, and the only thing holding it together was the bottom-mounted magnet. I fixed both areas with a strong adhesive, but I'll have to reinforce the sides of those locking walls even more because they broke again. You should get metal for the price, but instead you get a brand name on plastic. This isn't the kind of thing that's supposed to be used to show off extraordinary things - Take a look somewhere else.
It had a good hold on me, but it wasn't completely secure. It shook a lot, and the video is pretty shaky. I'm sure I'll find another use for it, but it's not ideal for a backpack. I intend to purchase a backpack that already has one.
Almost anywhere, this GoPro clip can be used. You will feel that your camera is more secure and stable because of the combination of a strong clip and a magnet in one item. This clip, which can be attached to your backpack, hat, helmet, or bike, makes taking better photos and videos while running or biking much easier.
Strong and incredibly versatile. The magnet proved to be more useful than I had anticipated. It's also extremely compact, so it fits into most cases with ease. It's well worth the money.
