Selected User Reviews For SVBONY Fully Metal Dovetail Board Dot Finder Mounting Bracket for Aiming Red-dot Reflex Sight
This was purchased to replace the cheap finder on a cheap 80mm refractor with an ATN red dot. It's beautifully constructed and finished. Because the telescope dovetail is tapered, I had to file it down a little to make it fit. My red dot was designed for a rifle, and a rifle's picatinny rail is typically longer than this mount. My red dot mount is made up of two pieces with a gap in the middle, and it only catches about 1/4" at the front and back. This mount would be much more secure if the top rail was about an inch longer.
I bought one to see if it was truly more stable than the Celestron plastic garbage. That is correct. I pair it with a more substantial mini-gun. When spending time with the family and they want to see where we're looking, I use the vixen base as a guide scope (when imaging) and a green laser pointer. This is fantastic. Now I wish I could get two more, but they're sold out!.
It does exactly what it's supposed to do. br>br>Also, if you're handy with a machine, you can file or mill a notch in the middle. This will allow you to attach Picatinny/Weaver accessories with a single crossbolt to your weapon.
With a dovetail bracket and a red dot sight on my z61, this was perfect. Exactly what I was looking for.
The construction is extremely precise and sturdy. For the price, this is an excellent purchase!.
This is what I have on my Finder Scope Mount Bracket Tri-Angle. To align the laser to the stars, you'll need a finder. It's perfect; it's a solid mount that stays put. This is something I've told a few of my friends about.
For a laser finder scope, this is a good solid base. Good price-to-value ratio.
