The pulser on the Telrad changes color. The pulser is used to control the binking rate. The original Telrad control is still in charge of the lighting. Because it's so small, pay attention to the fitting instructions.

This isn't a ruse - it's the real deal. It REALLY adds to the awesomeness of a Telrad. To install, a small hole must be drilled in the Telrad for the switch to be mounted. The Telrad material is extremely gentle on the skin. I was concerned that drilling would cause it to crack, but this was not the case.
It is true to its word. If you're a DIYer, it's simple to set up. The instructions are well written and easy to understand. On the same day, I installed it on a Telrad that I had ordered. It's what I use on my Celestron Nexstar Evolutuin 8 telescope.
It works perfectly and is simple to set up.
This is something I wish the basic Telrad had. My Telrad had been dropped, and the battery compartment had split and could not be repaired, so I purchased this. I get that, as well as the pulse, because of the new battery compartment.
For all Telrad owners, this is a must-have item! br>br>The Telrad now has a pulsing reticle, making it much easier to use on the battlefield. br>Installation is simple and takes less than five minutes. No soldering is required, and the reticle pulsing is controlled by a rotary knob, which also serves as the new on/off switch. br>Once you've used it, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.
This is what I have on two scopes with Telrad. It makes a big difference when it comes to aligning on faint stars. Installation was simple, and the components were of good quality. One has been in use for about ten years and has never caused any problems.
It does exactly what it says.
It's perfect!.
