Due to the small iPhone keypad, the previous response contained typos. Deleted, and now it's time to start all over: the 27- The 45mm distance refers to the mounting holes rather than the knurled screws that hold the finder scope or red dot finder in place. This was a perfect fit for my Celestron 8" OTA. It's possible that you'll require longer mounting screws.
No, I do not believe that is true. This is a Vixen-type of character. Exlore Scientific has its own proprietary finderscope bracket that will not accept Vixet-style mounts, but it will work with nearly all telescopes. finders of fashion
Yes, they are M4s, sir.
I'm afraid I won't be able to tell you whether the finder shoe will fit an 11" scope. The radius of my Celestron 8-inch SCT is different. Advise you to send an email to the supplier with your inquiry. Because the contact points are the mount's outer edges, the bottom curvature of my "shoe base" appears to be designed for a smaller diameter scope, but it fits snugly and securely to the 8" housing. The depth of the mounting screw/bolt beyond the shoe must be measured to ensure that the mirror is not obstructed. I made the bolt protrude from the shoe base for a length equal to the original screw on the scope plus 1 mm to account for the radius difference. On a triple Vixen mount (approximately 22 ounces total weight), I have no trouble securely holding a telrad and a 50mm guidescope. I hope this has been of assistance. Best of luck, and keep your eyes peeled for the sun. Larry

I have a Celestron Nexstar Evo 6 mount, and it attaches to the telescope nicely and securely. Because the thumbscrews provided differ slightly from what is pictured, I gave it four stars instead of five. On the thumbscrews I have, there is a 2-inch flange/spacer. 3mm long. The dovetail and thumbscrews might not be an issue on a different guide scope. I bought the Astromania 60mm Compact Deluxe Finder at the same time, which was unfortunate for me. On Amazon, you can also get a Guidescope Kit. The dovetail is a little narrow, and this, combined with the space/flange of the thumbscrews, means that the guidescope will not be fully secured by the thumbscrews. I only need like 1mm more and everything will be fine, but I'll have to find slightly longer screws/thumbscrews to secure my guidescope now. The real kicker is that this is a case of two Astromania products that are incompatible with one another. br>br>I do not believe this is a bait and switch or that I have been slighted in any way. Even if the thumbscrews I have were pictured online, I'm sure I would have bought this adapter anyway; it's just a shame I only need a single millimeter longer thumbscrews.
This finder scope base fits my Nexstar 8se like a glove. I recently bought a StarSense AutoAlign and wanted to use it in conjunction with my existing finderscope on my 8se. I needed to buy two things in order to do so: 1) Because the 8se optical tube assembly (OTA) does not come with one, you will need to purchase a Vixen Dovetail finder base. 2) You'll need to get a finder scope bracket with dual or triple mounts. The StarSense AutoAlign comes with both a large bracket for connecting directly to the OTA and a smaller Vixen Dovetail bracket, which I will use with this finder base. br>br>I had previously purchased another finder base on Amazon for a lower price, but it had three issues: The stock screws were too wide to fit in the finder base (requiring the purchase of new screws), the screw holes were too narrow by approximately 1mm, and the Vixen Dovetail mount was slightly too small, resulting in the AutoAlign only fitting half-way. all the way into the mount br>br>I'm happy to report that none of these issues exist with AstroMania's product. You won't need to buy any new screws because the stock screws will fit perfectly. The screw holes are evenly spaced and fit the 8se OTA with ease. The AutoAlign is easily accommodated by the mount. br>br>This finder base is extremely well constructed. The 8" OTA is perfectly aligned with the curve under the mount. Furthermore, the hand screws are extremely smooth and do not wobble when turned. This finder base also has two hand screws rather than just one, as some of the cheaper finder bases do, so you can feel safe mounting a lot of weight on it. br>br>One nice feature I noticed is that the metal at the center of this base is much thicker than the finder base I originally purchased. In comparison to the other finder base, it appears to be much more durable and less prone to bending. br>br>AstroMania also sells another finder base for SCT telescopes, which I noticed. I was planning on getting the other one, but then I noticed the screw spacing was up to 37. That base is 3mm in diameter, which is similar to the first finder base I tried. As a result, that other AstroMania base would have been too small for my 8se, as the screw spacing is between 37 and 38 mm. 38mm. This base, on the other hand, has a spacing of up to 41mm, which fits the screw spacing of the 8se perfectly.
For an 8" SCT scope, this is the ideal finder shoe. I tried it on my Celestron CPC800 and discovered that the elongated mounting holes were just a hair too short by about 1-inch. To match the scope, add 2 mm. I simply used a round file to slightly extend one hole in the shoe, which is made of relatively soft metal. The two set screws ensure that the guidescope I'll be using stays put during setup and teardown. I looked for a suitable shoe for a long time and finally found one, albeit with some effort on my part, that fits other 8" scopes perfectly. I'm pleased with the decision I made. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: a fat-burning device Typing error with the index finger.
For Celestron C5 6SE 8SE to attach upgraded finder scopes and pointers, it's very well made and matches the optical tube curve well. Other bases of this type are flat and don't fit well on curved optical tubes. This is an excellent foundation.
This is what I use to mount the ASIAIR PRO on my Celestron C6. My C6 is perfectly matched by the natural curve. This quick release is my top pick because of its ease of installation, light weight, and high-quality materials.
For my Omegon refractors, this finder shoe was ideal. It fits snugly on top of the tube rings, removing the focuser's weight and obstructing your view. Excellent value, prompt delivery, and a high-quality finish. This was an excellent purchase.
This is exactly what I was looking for to mount a guide scope on my Rasa 8. I like the fact that the guide scope is held in place by two screws on this clamp. I'm guessing this would fit any 8" SCT as well.
Finally, a perfect fit for Celestron Edge HD 8" telescopes to mount a solidly constructed Astromania 70 MM Guide Scope.
