Located under the front (horizontal) fine adjustment knob, the battery is hidden in a small cover. Replacing the CR2032 coin battery inside can be done by sliding off the cover.
In the past few months, it turned on only while you were seeking things to observe, not while you were observing them. Use it the right way and there won't be any problems.
There are small notch in the back of the cover and I simply pry it off with a screwdriver

It works really well on smaller scopes, as it is one of the most functional red dot finders for the money! I like it because of its versatility and functionality. If I say a scope is functional, I mean it is solidly constructed and does not flex as I try to adjust it and zero its dot with the view through the Aside from dimming and brightening within the range of its red dot, it is also very useful at both ends. As well as the telescope itself, it also comes with a dovetail mounting bracket designed to work with most dovetail bases. As an alternative, I use either a Telrad or a Rigel, which are both very robust and work exactly as they should, though I find that they're better suited to bigger scopes than smaller ones. The note follows Then it will work great on a larger scope such as a Dosonian or a Cassegrain (I use one on my 8-inch Celestron Cassegrain)! Providing it makes your starhopping experience as enjoyable as possible without causing undue.
The laser is cheaply made and the battery cannot be removed because of the faulty construction. There is no good contact between the battery terminal and the battery, so I have to keep bending to tighten the Very poorly made product at the end of the day.
My company tried to sell me this, but I ended up returning it and getting a Telrad (which is great for anything smaller than 6" though I wouldn't recommend it). In spite of being able to adjust the dot brightness, it is still too bright at the lowest setting. As soon as I had the red dot in front of me, Polaris was dim and I couldn't see it. The look may fool you, but do not let that fool you. I find the unit to be a bit flimsy and made of completely plastic. In my case, I would recommend just throwing another $10 on top of the $32 plus tax and shipping By spending $20 on a better unit, you're getting a better product. I would have liked for an UPS label to be included, but Orion delivered the UPS label promptly and the return was very easy. I'm happy to see you succeed!.
In much the same way as a telrad, this also helps me zero in on objects I am interested in observing. While it takes some effort to get it centered with my telescope, it is worth it when searching for nebulas.
The Orion Starblaster 4 is not compatible with this item. Size 5 in.
This was a replacement for an older model that had broken. This is a great tool for finding what you want to look at quickly and easily.
The red version of this shirt is of much higher quality With my Celestron telescope, I have a dot finder.
You cannot guess which way you are heading, but knowing in advance is better than guessing.
