It works fine with the Celestron star sense camera, and it sits tight with no wobble, but that setup is too tall for me as a long-term solution; it'll suffice until a better method can be implemented. br>I hope this information is useful!
It fits any telescope with a Vixen style finder bracket and is designed for standard dovetail mounts. As a result, please check to see if your scope has a standard dovetail groove or any other location where the dovetail base can be installed. It will work if the scope meets one of the criteria listed above.
I measured it on a metric scale and it was 208. 2 grams . According to my conversion calculator, this equals 7. 344oz. Certainly not. 32oz.

This finderscope bracket is designed to be used with a Vixen Dovetail mount to mount multiple finderscope accessories. My finderscope is a Celestron Nexstar 8se SCT that does not come with a Vixen mount. So I needed to get a finderscope base for the 8se first. I tried a few different ones, but the one that worked best was an AstroMania SCT finder base. (If you have an 8se, check the screw spacing before purchasing because AstroMania makes two different finder bases. ) br>br>Anyway, this finder scope bracket is pretty much everything you could ask for. The bracket appears to be of good construction. Each bracket includes two screws for securing your accessories. The sizing of the brackets distinguishes this bracket from others used for finder scopes. They're a couple of millimeters wider than the other finderscope brackets I found on Amazon. The two side brackets are slightly wider than the center bracket on the outside. What is the significance of this? So, because it was slightly less expensive, I purchased another finder scope bracket from a different vendor. My StarSense AutoAlign product did not work with that product - In terms of brackets, the AutoAlign's bracket is on the large side, and it would only fit half-way on the AutoAlign. Fortunately, there were no such issues with this bracket from AstroMania, which put it in the same bracket as the other cheaper product. The AutoAlign fit perfectly in each of the three brackets. I can now use my green laser pointer with my StarSense AutoAlign.
It isn't compatible with all dovetail mounting systems. (I mentioned this in a previous review. ) ) Take, for example, the same-brand laser pointer mounting bracket—you'll need to add a shim to make it fit. It does, however, fit the same-brand optical finder mounting brackets, as well as many other brands. On the plus side, the construction is excellent.
All-around good construction. dual-metal Finder bracket is strong enough to hold finders for visual use. Unfortunately, at least with my setup, it's not quite strong enough to hold a 50mm finder scope perfectly still for astrophotography guiding. Thank you very much for your excellent customer service!.
It's a bracket, so it satisfies all of my common sense requirements. I was able to use my red dot finder and finderscope on it without any problems.
I needed this to mount my accessories to my Refractor, and this was exactly what I needed. Very good quality.
It gives me the ability to mount my finder and tracking scopes.
