Questions & Answers

When I lose the quick release plate that came with the tripod, where can I get a replacement?

I despise it when people "answer" a question when they have no idea what the answer is. Simply ignore it! lol. br>br>Anyway, it appears to be ARCA Swiss compatible, which means it should work with any ARCA Swiss plate. Surprisingly, ARCA isn't mentioned in the description, but it appears to be present. Almost every other tripod from this company with the same type of head does not advertise ARCA Swiss compatibility, but users have reported that it is possible. As a result, I would recommend getting an ARCA Swiss baseplate for it.

Why does it say in the description that it can't be used as a monopod? However, it is clearly stated in the image that this is possible. Could you please clarify?

I had previously inquired about this with the manufacturer, Neewer, and was informed that the most recent version of the tripod could be used as a monopod. The tripod's current description also mentions that "one of the legs can be removed to convert to a monopod (52. 144 5cm), or a cane."

Is it suitable for aerial photography?

On OH shots, it works perfectly for me. Probably superior to the majority of tripods. This one appealed to me because of the added flexibility provided by the central column.

Is there a tripod that looks similar to this but has clasp legs instead of the boom arm? On the go, working with the screw ons is more difficult. ?

I bought it because I'm a sucker for one-of-a-kind items. I'm confident you'll be able to locate one.

It's very nice and versatile
4/5

I adore this tripod because it gives me so many options. I had been using an old rinky dink tripod that I found in my aunt's garage up until now, but I was in desperate need of a replacement. This works perfectly, and I've already captured a few stunning panos with it. I like the finish and how simple it is to adjust; I'm glad I didn't have to spend a lot of money to get such a nice tripod.

In every way, this tripod is ideal for a light-duty tripod
5/5

The delivery was on time and perfectly packaged, but it fell just short of perfection. The tripod, in fact, appeared to be in excellent condition. However, when I looked into the one or two things I hadn't tried yet, I discovered that the Panorama base was either too loose or too tight, causing the entire ball head to wobble. I discovered that there was no happy medium when it came to tightening the third (smaller) knob that locks the panorama feature. The ball head would either be loose and wobble in the platform it screws into, or it would be completely locked and impossible to rotate in the pano base at the top of the center post. br>br>I'm going to try to figure out why the pano feature isn't working properly. Either it's too big or it's too small. The pano function is rendered virtually useless in either case. br>br>Everything else appears to be well-executed. Except for the pano feature, the fit and finish are excellent. Given that none of the other reviewers mentioned a similar issue, I'm confident that this is a one-off. It's most likely a simple fix, and I'd rather donate my time to help the vendor repair this unit than send it back for a refund, replacement, or repair. br>br>Because the example I received is excellent in every other way, I would not hesitate to buy a second or recommend the tripod to a friend or family member who requires a tripod of this type. br>br>[Update 5/30/2019] After contacting Amazon about the sticky/wobbly Panorama ring, they advised me to return it and reorder. I took into account the fact that this was the only sample that had issues out of all of the reviews. Based on that, I decided that an exchange of sorts would be the most efficient way of getting a sample that is 100% good in every way. The Rep issued a return authorization br>br>The second sample arrived in the afternoon yesterday. I took it out of the box and examined it, finding it to be defect-free and operating as it should. Within 24 hours of dropping it off at a UPS store, Amazon issued a credit for the returned sample. br>br>In the form of a $10 price reduction, I received an unexpected bonus. I paid 00 less for the first sample than I did for the second. As a result, Amazon's excellent customer service turned a negative situation into a positive one.

Because the first review was removed, I've written a new one that is even worse
3/5

My first review was, strangely enough, removed. The first time I ordered this tripod, it arrived damaged in shipping, and the second time, it arrived covered in mold (luckily, I saved the photos). ) I gave Amazon a third chance to get it right, and when I got the tripod up, it didn't seem so bad. It has a nice weight to it and moves smoothly with its legs locked. br>Unfortunately, I wasn't able to put it to the test because the screw that holds my camera in place is completely loose (see video). ) A flaw in the hardware that someone else mentioned; this is hardware that should be well-built; I'm not sure why it's a loose screw that would cause your nice camera to flail around. br>Hopefully, my review will not be deleted this time; I've spent a lot of time, money, and time away from work (not hobby photography) on this shoty tripod, so either fix it or don't sell it.

Strong but not too heavy
5/5

This stepped up my photography game to a whole new level! I use a heavy Canon 5d iv and heavy macro lenses for flat lay food photography, so a sturdy tripod is essential. It was only a matter of time before I turned to Neewer!.

The tripod is excellent, but the ball head is not
4/5

This is a very nice tripod that I can easily recommend, despite the fact that it is a little heavy. The ballhead, on the other hand, is terrible, and I would not recommend it. It moves after you've set everything up and locked it with the dial. It's fine if you don't care about precision or smoothness, but it's also effectively a free ballhead because the tripod is only $100 and would be worth that even without the head. br>br>I recommend buying the tripod with the intention of getting rid of the ballhead and replacing it with something better.

First and foremost, I adore the color scheme of this tripod; the black and red blends in beautifully with the rest of my gear and looks super sleek wherever I place it
4/5

The adjustable center column is also fantastic, and I've used it to create some amazing pano shots. Legs can be adjusted easily, and all joints are securely fastened. The carrying bag is excellent and keeps everything together and secure; it is without a doubt my favorite tripod of all time.

I'm not overly enthralled by it
4/5

This tripod, which I needed to replace an older one, was very exciting to receive. The fact that it comes with a nice carrying case is a plus, but the rest of it is a letdown. Perhaps if it were less expensive, I would be more enthusiastic about it, but the price is simply too high. The poles are locked and must be unlocked by pressing a button, which must be pressed precisely in order for the legs to come out. I'm not interested in a tripod that requires a lot of fiddling to set up. My older tripod set up quickly and easily without jerking. This one is sturdy and heavy, which I like, but I don't like how difficult it is to put together. I'm not sure if I just got a lemon, but I don't see the value in this.

I was hesitant because of the price, but after reading positive reviews, I decided to replace my 1970s Star D tripod with this one
5/5

br>br>In every way, this tripod outperforms the vintage Star D. It's more compact, lighter, stronger, and adaptable. The ability to adjust leg angle is something I particularly like. Another fantastic feature that I intend to make extensive use of is the pivoting center post. br>br>Because the leg locks are so strong, I don't have to worry about a leg collapsing on me. The quality of the fit and finish is surprising. I have the same ball head, but it's branded differently, and it's been perfectly adequate and stable for me. Last but not least, the carrying bag is a nice addition. br>br>I should have updated a long time ago, but at this price, I'm glad I waited.
